Well he called Ngannou a new comer ,didn’t the new comer arguably win while Fury was holding a WBC belt in a non title fight against an unranked guy ? How is it on Joshua to win a certain way again to justify his legacy ?

Basically Joshua has to do Furys work again , Wallin , Klitchko , and now Ngannou . Which should be three stoppages something Fury doesn’t have over these guys but ..but..but Joshua Joshua Joshua that he didn’t do this or that ……..

Like little babies on here I swear the icing on the cake is now Usyk stopping Fury ……and you guys would still find a way to make it a Joshua loss . lol

Well, Joshua has said that this is the biggest challenge of his life, so I assume he will give it his best shot. I think this is clearly a set-up fight for AJ vs Fury, especially if Joshua is able to dominate Ngannou. He'll be able to challenge Fury's resolve by boasting that he clearly bested a novice that Tyson struggled to beat. I don't believe any amount of retroactive excuses will serve Fury well, since he insisted that he trained his ass off for Francis. No doubt, an impressive win by AJ sets the stage for an all-British unification bout, provided Fury beats Usyk. However, a loss to the novice boxer Ngannou will do major harm to Joshua's career.

That's actually a great question.

Because A) Joshua is in shape and has his career and legacy on the line, while Fury just showed up at 280 lbs to play. B) We now have hindsight about how seriously to take Ngannou as a boxer. No element of surprise this time.

Good assertion, and probably right on. On Fury’s prep however, he says a lot of things; but that was the heaviest that Fury ever fought at in his life, and he sure looked it.

When Joshua, Parker, Klitschko, Joyce, or any of them lost, they all suffered the arrows of the critics. Wilder shouldn't be any different.

But the truth is:
Parker won because Wilder hadn't fought more than half a round in TWO years.
Parker, Joshua, Franklin and Ruiz have no such excuse for their own embarrassing losses. It happens, and if Wilder elects to come back slowley as the others did, I'm certainly betting that he smokes A.J. quick.

This all assumes that A.J. smashes up Ngannou easily enough to make people remain curious about how he'd do against Wilder, to settle the old issue.

Lol. Wilder is just not very good mate. He has zero significant wins in his career, none. AJ has beaten loads fo champions and ex champions. Wilder c an barely box, AJ is an olympic gold medalist. Parker simply exposed Wilder for what he is and always was: a hyped fighter who didn't beat anyone.
If you're placing Wilder's body of work above Joshua's, then I am sorry, but I cannot take you seriously.

He just looked good last fight, which is a blessing and a curse because if he actually gets KO'd by francis nobody can say he was shot since he just boxed really well last fight. That is worse case.

Fury barely won so as long as AJ does that or better then he is still in the game. I think AJ will put a lot of pressure on himself though to outperform Fury, and we know he doesnt balloon up between fights, fury already has that excuse for most peoples eyes that he was fat, drinking, on coke ect before this fight. People know AJ doesnt get fat, but I feel like his mental and anxiety problems dont get the same pass by fans as someone with weight and alcohol problems. So there is a chance AJ bottles it, we seen that look on his face the deer in a headlights look, with Ruiz and Usyk when he freezes up under pressure.

Fury's greatest possible redemption for his performance vs Ngannou, is to come to the Usyk fight in the fantastic shape that he claims he's currently in and dominate Usyk.
