This is what I thought was always Canelo's first choice if Mungia looked impressive. He realizes the Mall fight is a tough sell and he will get awful backlash (more than usual) and that he can sell the Mungia fight to the fan boys.

Imagine last year if someone said Canelo will join the PBC and Mell and Mungia get the fight ahead of Benavidez. You would have been accused of being delusional.
