Comments Thread For: Shawn Porter: Tim Tszyu Has The Perfect Style For Keith Thurman

Folks tend to lean heavily towards their home town favorite without realistically assessing what their fighter brings to the table. Tim Tzysu is a decent fighter with a solid foundation of tools, but let's face it. He really hasn't been tested. Perhaps we can blame the 154 lb division. If you look at Tim Tzysu's resume, he's beaten fighters with decent records. But if you look at his opponent's opponents, they have terrible boxing records. Tzysu also has a loss on his resume against an okay fighter, at best. Tim Tzysu talks very boldly after his victories. But let's face it, he beating flawed fighters. Tony Harrison is a joke. And Mendoza and Ocampo are almost journey men. Even though Thurman may have the odds stacked against him, he actually has a resume that suggests that he can be the test that Tzysu could use at this stage in his career. Even though Thurman has been inactive and is older, he probably poses more of a threat than any of Tzysu's opponents this far...and Keith is going up in weight.
I don't think folks should be taking Thurman lightly.

For sure Tim can hurt him, Thurman has to use all the skills he has to not get hit hard, makes 12 rounds a long time, I feel Thurman is the best Tim has been in with and he is ring smart Im pretty confident in saying Thurman will be in front on the scores at the half way mark, he is not going to stand and trade he is going to move and set traps to counter all night, its going to be a hard second half for Thurman as although he schooled Barrios he couldnt really phase him.Comment

I guarantee you cause his brain will tell him to move but his legs won’t respond , only normal
And if he survives those six rounds then it’ll be to late for the actual ring iq cause he’ll have taken the bulk of punishment
Knowing Keef , it’ll be his corner to stop it and we’ll never hear the end of itComment

With two years off , the first six rounds against Tim will be survival

Hmmm I don't know so much I thought he moved well against Barrios who is similar to Tim just not as intense, Thurman can box a lot better than Mendoza and he went 12, Thurman is cagey and moves well he has good feet I don't see Tim walking through him so easy, but by the same token Tim could drill him right of the bat nothing surprises me in boxing.
Two fughin years ago
Before that he got smacked around by PAC and that was three years to the two
He ain’t doing chit and I can’t compare Barrios to Tim , sorry
He’s getting smashed up badComment

Tim beats him easily. A stay busy fight for him.
A big strong young 154 guy against old blown up welterweight has never been good fight.
