More boxing fans watched Canelo’s last fight than all of Mungia’s fights combined. STFU Tim.

Canelo already had Munguia’s current hype, since a long time ago.

I remember back when Mayweather’s haters were riding young Canelo’s **** back when he was 19-23. They saw him as Mayweather’s boogeyman and someone who Mayweather would never fight not even at 150lbs (the weight in which Canelo called out Mayweather).

Now the tables have turned just like it does for every boxer who rises to the top.

The same will happen to Munguia. People will lose interest soon and move on to another shiny new toy. Look at Benavidez after Plant, he’s not really seen as dangerous as he was seen anymore.

Boxing fans are very fickle, worst than Team sports fans.

From an entertainment perspective canelo just doesn't move that needle for me the way morales or Barrera or marquez did. Obvious avoidance of certain guys at certain times, no gas tank to speak of to keep up an exciting fight, I can go on and on.

Not that their resumes are comparable and canelo had done a lot more by that age. But forget you knew who either were and seen them fight on the same card, canelo gets the short stick on fun/Mexican style factor
What was his last exciting fight? Literally probably Kirkland? He really is a pretty boring fighter when you look past the hype.

What was Benavidez’s last exiting fight? The boring 12 rounder vs the Canelo leftover or the one where his over matched, undersized opponent quit?

his last two fights were duds

You fight beat downs with lots of punches boring? Strange. Benavidez has never had a boring fight.

You find one sided beat downs on over matched opponents exciting? No wonder you're content with Benavidez feasting on bums, cab drivers and small 160 pound quitters like Andrade. That fight was not exciting or entertaining at all.

I guess Mike Tyson was not an exciting fighter because his opponents were over matched. Canelo fans are not very bright.
