I think the cut is probably real. Whether or not he paid off the guy to hit him with an elbow, as it appears in the video, I'm less sure about. That guy said in an interview that he wasn't sorry at all, that it was from a clean punch (which sure doesn't look like it).

    A few points to consider.

First, even if we give him the benefit of the doubt, what on earth was he thinking sparring like that this close to the fight? Beginning to think his dad is right to question the amateur nature of his camps.

Second, people are saying he's risking his career. What makes you think that he cares about his boxing career at this point? He's already "retired" 3 times, and has strung out every remotely dangerous fight for years. Remember when Wilder had to take him to court to get him to honor his contractual rematch? He's already said he's going to dump all the belts that Usyk has if he wins.

I'm sure it's occurred to him that he's already got the belts he wants to keep. Yeah, it's a lot of money, but he's got a lot already, and he can retire for a few years, and come back and fight Mayweather-style circus "exhibitions" to keep making money. But only if he's still the "lineal champ". If he loses to Usyk, I don't think his ego could take it. Notice how we haven't heard a single peep from him about fighting MMA since that fight was actually offered, and especially after Ngannou put him on his butt in his own sport? He needs most to preserve his own self image as some undefeated fighting god who can't be beaten, and I'm confident that he's doubting that right now. We're all hardest on ourselves, and he's already in theory had to take years off for mental issues.

Even if he didn't pay the guy off to get out of the fight last second because he got cold feet, his camp is still a wreck, they're making ****** choices, and he's getting caught clean enough by a guy who's not even a fringe contender to open up a fight ending cut.

AND, let's also point out that he's now got an easy target for Usyk to aim for. He's got to be thinking about that also, especially with only until May for it to heal. If he wouldn't get in the ring with Usyk with some bruises on his face, I seriously doubt he gets in the ring with that cut.

      The sparring ¨accident¨ is bs

Watch the video again, the first 3 seconds. someone in Fury's corner is already shouting ¨HES CUT!¨ from far away, without seeing it

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6cRZVjOT58

Not that he could see the ¨cut¨ even if he was close, given they have headgear on

      This **** was staged

There's certainly going to be a lot of scrutiny on it, and the Saudis aren't ones to mess with. The truth will come out eventually I expect. Doesn't look good for Fury no matter how much benefit of the doubt you give him though.

Also going to point out that the contract apparently requires medical proof of injury to move dates.

The first seconds are in fact the last of the video, after the cut (see it full, unedited here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZeGtLDYhtE). You can see the elbow landing somewhere in the 16th second in the video you posted. But ok, it was staged and Turki is lying it's legit.

People chose not to see where Usyk's navel is and where his shorts were at the moment of the Dubois' "low blow", even though the fight can be seen in top quality, now we talk about the quality of this video.

I never for a minute thought Fury was a coward. If this isn't legit it was done because Fury is having trouble getting ready on time. If you're fighting Usyk, you better be prepared to go a strong 12. If you are planning on taking a round or 2 off, be prepared to take a beating for those rounds.

                .
So what? It's the same ****

Someone in Fury's corner shouting ¨HES CUT¨ just seconds after the punch or elbow or whatever landed, with no way of seeing the ¨cut¨ it supposedly caused

I don't know if Turki is ¨lying¨, but Fury is. Fury might be deceiving him with another wild boar story, just like he's deceiving his dumb fans.

Fury's corner are a bunch of idiots, though. They can't even stage a fake sparring accident properly.

At least wait until the guy is in your corner and pretend you're looking from close to shout ¨HE'S CUT!!¨ ffs.

He'll keep making up lies to duck the Usyk fight, just like he did with Klistchko. He'll never fight Usyk
So your insinuating that his excellency is in on it also ?
I ain’t no Fury fan and was one of the first posters to call him out and say that he’s brought all this chit upon himself
Crying wolf so many times before will get you many comments like on this thread but the fact that he appears with the Saudi would make me believe this time around
Can’t see what the Saudis would gain from this by going along with this farce and then ponying up 10 million reasons

No, it is not any "****". But it is knowing what the other supposedly saw, when he saw it and claiming that Turki is lying because that is what you do by insisting it is staged when Turki himself said it is legit. As I posted on another thread: the fans's schizophrenia is in action: Fury lies, but Turki tells the truth, it is just both statements contradict each other, but are telling the truth. Ok.

Just bribe some doctor to say you have a bad cut and you can't fight, then hide from the cameras for a couple weeks.

He says it's the same cut from the Wallin fight, so there will be a scar there when you finally show your mug again. so it'll sound ¨plausible¨

post some old photos online from the Wallin times, for good measure, which is what Fury's camp been doing

the sparring ¨accident¨ was staged for sure. Fury's corner already shouting ¨HES CUT¨, from far away, seconds after the ¨elbow¨ landed? with no way in hell to see the ¨cut¨? yeaah right
