The Saudis own the fight.. they purchase the rights from Top Rank, paid them handsomely..

The Saudis are tied in with DAZN, DAZN is a global app in very many markets worldwide.

This is the 1st time in my life that I'm rooting against THE LEADER but I do hope they completely give up on boxing in 2024. I was the main one screaming that Showtime would never leave boxing even after I failed to read the tea leaves after HBO left. Now it's crystal clear. Cable Tv does not want boxing anymore. Looks like terrestrial TV only wants to invest in pro and college football and basketball. Time for boxing to tighten up and join forces in the US. Amazon Prime is the way to go. C'mon Bob and Oscar, time to get with the program slick!

DAZN anonymous in US. Population 340M. Need a higher profile platform partner. Turki meet Bezos. Whatever you think of Amazon - coworkers all talking about that Goddamn Saltburn film on Prime. Amazon has major fcking reach

$37 on DAZN in Australia... For context, Fury v Wilder was $50. Tim and Jeff's fights were about $60. Even two rugby players fighting usually goes for about $60.

              Good value.

Mind you, I'll be waiting until the last minute to buy it. Hard to commit the dollars to Fury until you see him at the weigh in. Anyone else thinking the same?

It’s sad that we can’t see boxing on regular tv but then I think regular tv isn’t what it used to be with the nature of apps and streaming. My favourite tv show of the last 5 years (that doesn’t have Star Trek in the title) was ted lasso and I had to have Apple TV for that one. Even my Trek shows are paramount through Amazon. I’m glad Haymon held out for Amazon, though I’m also hoping he gets a deal with Netflix for even more shows but I think this time there is exclusivity for pbc

I also hope ESPN and top rank part ways, perhaps a deal can be struck with Amazon and we can get 2 of the 3 biggest American promotions on one platform. If that happens golden boy will follow suit

There's actually a decent amount of boxing content on ESPN+ as you detailed above. For a boxing fan, it's not that bad of a deal especially if you like other sports content. I always enjoy the Canadian cards they air.
