The Undisputed Heavyweight Championship Of The World!

We are about 2 weeks away from one of the most monumental moments in recent sporting history but where are the boxing fans on this forum? Seems like, since I left most of the others did too.

Instead we get threads about fighters having twitter melt downs and fighters that spend more time on insta than in the ring.

Where are the real boxing fans?

Idgaf about "undisputed". I give a fook about 1 vs 2. So its a big fooking event, & I love how the Saudis have been rolling out this event, but its still just 1 vs 2 to me not some "monumental" event cuz the 4 most corrupt organizations in the sport want their 3%.

It's cool but also it sucks Evander will continue to be the last undisputed HW champion with undisputed title fight defenses.

        WBA stripped Lennox

IBF plans to strip Usyk or Fury

"Undisputed" has the shelf life of an avocado so long as there are a plethora of for-profit "sanctioning" bodies being legitimized by the casually invested sports media.

Linear title. Now that's academic world history.
More global interest than the NFL super bowl. Though in the US, that's hard to fathom.

I think we can all agree there is far too much Ryan Garcia content on this website.

Obviously it would be great if the orgs could stick it out but it just won't happen.

But this is the point where the orgs stop mattering. They've served their purpose in organising their fighters and fights to a point where they've got their belts wrapped around two good champions. Every org and ratings body agrees that these are legitimately the top two. Now it's finally about the actual sport of boxing. Whoever wins is THE MAN in the sport. Without any debate.

I just hope that they do defend that status (regardless of belts) and they don't retire. The next few years will feel pretty hollow if that happens.

Yep, if the two fought...which looks like it won't happen anymore...then the belts would have served their purpose and we would know who is the number one heavyweight i.e. champion and if there is a title that's stripped, then the guy who wins that is just a paper belt holder, like Ruiz back in the early 00s.

BUT ONTO THE BIG TOPIC OF THE DAY...FURY IS CUT, BEAT YP IN SPARRING BY WHAT LOOKS TO BE JAI OPETEIA AND NOW THE FIGHT IS OFF.

Hrgovic is in a great position to pull off one of the biggest upsets in boxing.

It's just a pointless shadow of its own self. Can hardly call it a sport anymore.

Is Hrgovic beating Usyk a huge upset ? I’d say no he’s a far different opponent he’s never fought bf at least I don’t recall Usyk fighting anyone like him , a good puncher with a chin and engine could be his downfall. At 6”6 240 plus I wouldn’t be writing a guy like that off in fact I think he’ll win and he’s been more active I see a mental let down and Hrgovic really goes for it , Usyk isn’t unbeatable you just got to catch him in spots and keep up with him . Hrgovic is very good at ring control this will be a very competitive fight if it happens .
