Haney vs Ryan who’s the bigger star?

The problem in this sport is everything is exaggerated such as PPV outcome, how much fighter A, B, C made. How much exactly was offered to so and so, etc. Nah, I don't even believe these PPV numbers. Showtime's Espinoza himself in an article long time ago got sick and tired of people asking for official numbers. He never released anything official since.
Then you have Youtube clickbaiting liars disseminating fake news such as Haney offering $8 million to Stevenson, as an example. Which was the 15% Haney allegedly offered. Which means Haney would suppoedly be getting $32 million in a fight which Top Rank supposedly make. Then you have Youtbers lying bastards that say Wilder made $20 million in the Helenius fight...aargh... The environment is so different from just a few years ago when $1 million purse was a standard for step up fights. Now you have lying bastards claiming so and so made $15 million in a fight that is the size of a Garcia vs Salka fight.
Point is no one have any access to real figures. Everything is made up.Last edited by Bullrider; 01-31-2024, 03:50 PM.Comment

I don’t think you’ll ever find me insulting people on here unwarranted, so it’s you who’s the emotional child my friend. I got a therapy hotline for you, if you ever need to get some emotional steam off LOLComment

Haney would take the bigger split because he's the champ. If Ryan had been able to get a belt off Rolly first and it were a unification, that's another story. And in terms of who brings eyeballs and money, that's obviously Ryan.
In order to be a star, you have to have casual appeal. Haney flat out doesn't. Even asking boxing fans, you're going to find a lot of people who don't want to watch Haney. Ryan has only done the one PPV, but it was huge, and that wasn't because of Tank, who's never done over 300k before Ryan, and likely won't again.
Would have thought this was all OBVIOUS.
Haney is the better boxer and fighter. Ryan is the bigger star. CASUAL. APPEAL.Comment
