Some of these promoters are killing boxing, scared for their fighters to look bad or take an L.

This is why I love the amateurs sometimes and Olympics. Might be some corruption sometimes but at least the best vs the best, there’s no ‘this guy has an awkward style so we’ll duck him’

They’re telling the truth. People just don’t want to hear it. Shakur = trash ratings. They’re not going to fight a dude who is an absolute BORE, and risk taking a loss, because the guy won’t fight.

Boxing will NEVER give Shakur another decision if he fights another ️ fight like he did with De Los Santos.

Conceicao definitely beat this guy. Outlanded him in 11 of 12 rounds, outlanded in power punches in eight rounds too, and was clearly winning the rounds he got dropped in, which arguably makes them not even 10-8 rounds. Even giving Navarrete every benefit of the doubt, he still loses 112 - 114.

That being said, Shakur is more likely to be a snoozefest. Hopefully he does stay "retired" if he's going to fight like he did vs DLS.

This Navarette promoter is talking as if they have lots of options. And when is Emmanuel going to step up? His big win against Dogboe happened millenia ago and he's been fighting leftovers. When is his real big fight going to happen? Been waiting for so long when.
