Comments Thread For: Bradley: I'd Pick Crawford To Beat Canelo, Even at 168, He Has Ring Smarts Like Mayweather

Moving up and down in weight is the norm in boxing. Seldom has any fighter spent the entirety of their careers in one setting. Terence Crawford has followed that same ole routine. So far, he's managed to grab world titles as a lightweight, super lightweight, and a welterweight. In addition to those championship runs, Crawford has a pair of undisputed reigns under his belt as well.

Fans quickly attribute Superman qualities to their favorite fighters. Crawford is great but he likely can't take Canelo's punches. How about Crawford vs Tim Tszyu, a 154 lb fighter--that would be more realistic.

Crawford is great, but not great enough to beat a super middleweight. The same id.iots that believed Canelo would have beaten Bivol now believe everybody beats Canelo.

Canelo is not shot enough to lose to blown up welterweight.

I agreed with bradley.... canelo has a puncher's chance... canelo's power and the fact that canelo has fought at 168 will only be his advantage. TC beats canelo in all other aspect. all TC have to do is dont get in a slugfest with canelo because by doing that, he will make the fight easier for canelo...

canelo's fighting style was all wrong for bivol whereas for TC, his fighting style mashes well with canelo's slow pace style and style makes fight!!

Bud probably does beat him. Bud been killing himself to make 147 for years. Like Biev, he lives an extremely clean life, is a gym rat, is incredibly strong. He hurts guys with touches.

Canelo was never going to beat a real 175 pound threat. He relies on bullying guys, he fights in spurts. His gas tank has been crap for years. And Charlo went in not wanting to fight, he just wanted to see the final bell and get that paycheck.

Bud makes Canelo spend all his energy going for the KO in the first 5 rounds. Then he takes Canelo apart like a surgeon. And....get ready.... he may well stop him.

Guys like Bud are once in a lifetime. Canelo is definitively an overhyped made up "superstar". A good fighter, not a great. Bud is a different animal.

Bud competes in any era against the greats. He would have stopped Floyd too. Too strong and too good.

That would be a good fight. Crawford has to get old at some point, he should beat Tim but Tim is big and will make him work for it. I think Tim would be harder than one of the over hyped charlos. He atleast tries, the charlos just fold up and fight scared.

Bud loses then he was too little , he still has stiff competition at his own weight and light middle he has no reason to be three weights up .Let him prove he's the best in the lower divisions first , boots for one , and Charlo would be a good yardstick .

Im not so sure 168 is a big jump. Canelo has cement feet but his hands are fast enough. How does crawford react when he takes the first shot? hes never been hit like that. Spence never really hit him, whats the most hes been hit maybe by Porter who dont hit like a 168 canelo. If 168 is so easy, bud could move up there to take one fight to adjust to the weight but we dont see that, it would be all or nothing because his team knows its a risk and wont do it except for a canelo pay day.
