Champ in recess is a strip. The winner of this fight becomes the full champ, and the champ in recess is entitled to a shot at whoever is the current champion if they return. It's what should have happened to Mall a long time ago.

It's a strip with benefits. He gets to come back and fight for the title whenever he chooses. He should lose all privileges.

One more thing , Fundora and Bockachuk are number two and three with the WBC , shouldn't it be numbers one and two fighting each other ? Fundora was knocked out in his last fight , he should have to at least be coming in with a win over a highly ranked contender to be given a title shot , not coming off of a loss. Just another reason why the sanctioning slugs should be ignored.

Theres The Champion or my preferred title of being #1. Personally belt groups have destroyed the meaning of champion in boxing for me so I don't use it as often as I use #1.
