We as fans should support these athletes instead of talking nonsense. I don't know who wins, but I doubt is going to be easy.
I agree I think Morrell beats Benavidez. I do notice every time Benavidez fights guys his size they go 12.

That guy gonna lose a lot.of money if he bets Benavidez to KO or TKO Morrell. Reason why he won't fight him.

Morrell could still be a hype job who folds as soon as he feels high level pressure. You keep acting as if Morrell has proven something when all he has proven is the eye test. You think like a casual.

He's not even Davids Mandatory, he has no connection to Benavidez at all.
You're very selective when in comes to proven fighters. The only thing plant has proved, every time he has stepped up he lose, so he's a proven loser. The only name he has in his record is another loser, uzcategui and an old past his prime direll. So you know this 56-37 is the record of plant opponents in his first 10 fights. Should I post Morrell Jr? The connection is, whoever wins would hold two belts and two mandatories, if you think ginger is against the wall now, you will be surprised if this fight happens.

What the hell are you talking about? Plant is a legit champion who beat some legit highly ranked fighters and performed well vs Canelo. Morrell has not even fought anyone ranked in the 168 top ten. I am not being selective at all.

Here's five names from the Top 20 (boxrec) I would like to see Morrell face; if he can wipe two of them off the planet, he's a shoe-in.

          Jesse Hart
          Diego Pacheco
          Edgar Berlanga
          Vladimir Shishkin
          Christian Mbilli

Mbilli in particular would be a great fight for both and would put some serious steam behind the winner's name, me thinks.

Me also thinks Morrell flattens them all, so why not?

Fighters don’t fight each other the same way. Ever.

If the Canelo that showed up vs Kovalev, showed up to fight Bivol, he would have still lost.

The same can be said for literally any fight between any fighters.

Fighters fight each other based on their opponent’s style.

From the outside, it would seem that morell is talking trash for attention, but what else can he do? He is a beast in the ring, has power and the skills to hang with the best of them in the division. No one wants to fight him and then they turn around and say "what has he done?". The irony...

Legit champion is when you take the belt from a Champ. Who did he took the belt from? He got ktfo by canelo, who himself has look like $h1t every time he has going up in class. Lost to benavidez too. Please get another example because this one doesn't make the cut. You're criticizing Morrell Jr because he has only 10 fights, and praising plant for losing, while the Cuban is gunning for the same guy that beat him up, and definately fighting benavidez is not about money.

Benavidez must now fight Canelo's mandatories!! Hail King Canelo.
                  You are incredibly slow...

Does Benavidez want to fight Canelo? If he does, beating the only other guy with a better claim helps his cause.

Does Benavidez want to prove he's the real king of the division? Then he can take the only other guy in the division who looks like he could be a threat and that Canelo has been avoiding. If Morrell wasn't a threat Canelo would have gotten that mandatory out of the way as he did with Yildirim and Ryder.

Even after Canelo is gone, Morrell is still going to be there. Do you want him to avoid Morrell for his whole career? Benavidez doesn't seem to want to fight a guy his size that he can't outmuscle.

Frankly if you don't see the advantages you've got no business talking about boxing at all.

The DISADVANTAGE is that it's a dangerous fight against an opponent who isn't a big money draw yet. It's only a bad fight if you don't think you can win, or you're just in it for the money. But he's barking about being the uncrowned King of the division. If he wants to be the king, Morrell is the current #4. Don't know why Mbilli just jumped him in the Ring ratings with a bum bashing against a really low level guy, but there it is.

If he's a nobody that isn't a threat then there's no reason not to fight him. It's only a bad idea if he's legit. Benavidez knows it. You're just not being honest with yourself. Either way, you were already dumb enough to act like you didn't understand that Canelo is the guy in the division who has mandatories. You're apparently also dumb enough not to realize that everyone wants to fight Canelo.

So what way should Benavidez fight against Morrell that Morrell says he wouldn't lose???

Lol I never understand how half these titles become "the boxing news". I'd assume Morrell thinks David B can't beat him. And I'm sure David B feels like Morrell can't beat him too.

Whatever the reality is we'll likely find out in 2025.

Reminds me of something similar like the Eubank Jr / Conor Benn faceoff. Eubank Jr kept saying in effect "if you fight me the way you fought your opponents, you'll lose." "I'll meet you head on," says Benn. "Nah, I don't believe it," replied Jr. "What else do you want me to do?" Conor replied back...
