Heck, even Super Featherweight & Featherweight are better than light heavy.
I'll give you welterweight although one of the "top tier" guys just lost (Spence) so you got Crawford and Ennis. Lightweight, no - you only got Stevenson and Tank, the rest jumped ship to junior welterweight. Heavyweight, no - its only Usyk and Fury, AJ has lost 3 times already FFS.

when you talk about "top tier" you should be talking about either current champions, interim champions or former champions with only one defeat. no unproven contenders at the highest level.

Huh? That makes zero sense. So if Ennis didn’t win a vacated belt you wouldn’t include him, just because he want a champion.. thus saying welter isn’t stronger. Makes no sense.. contenders make up a division.

Lightweight has Stevenson, Tank, Loma, Martin, Keyshawn, Muratalla, De Los Santos, Zepeda, Ortiz, Valuenzela etc.

Outside of Bivol then Beterbiev, could you even name me the 3rd best fighter in the division? Or any fights between top contenders that could potentially be elite? There’s zero. Outside Beterbiev vs Bivol. What fight are you really excited for? None.

At lightweight there’s at least 6 fights

That's cool if you feel that way, but Gvozdyk was an accomplished amateur and did retire the lineal champ in dramatic fashion. Older, yes, but still dangerous. LHW's not the best, but it's not the worst. Benavidez is due to move up soon so that'll be fun.
My bad. But I can agree with you on that. Morrell/Benavidez are both big dudes and should be at 175 soon.

I think Beterbiev will try to win titles at cruiser if he beats Bivol

Ennis, before being awarded the vacant title was the IBF interim champion. That would make him top tier as its practically one step away from full champion.

Lightweight, is a deep division but from your list there only Stevenson Tank and Loma are "top tier" the rest are merely contenders - some of whom have put in some underwhelming performances of late.

It goes without saying that contenders make up a division but my point was light heavyweight is no different to any of the other divisions where you have your few main guys followed by your contenders. How good those contenders are is another debate altogether. As I say there is only literally 2 or 3 divisions (super welterweight, welterweight, super middleweight) that are littered with "top tier" fighters.

Huh? Lightweight is a better division than welterweight LOL.

Vergil Ortiz, Bud, Spence are all at 154 now. Porter’s retired. Danny is at 154-160.

Welter is nearly as bad as 175.

Spence and Bud have not had any official fights outside 147 so they still currently campaign there. Then you have Ennis, Stanionis the wba regular champion, Josh Taylor a former undisputed Super Lightweight champion, Santillan - a very promising 32-0 contender and Conor Benn. welter has always been a glamour division and still is. No doubt Haney will be heading there within the next 12 months as well.
