Again, I never said it makes you an experienced pro fighter. Did you even read my post? I said Porter has much more experience than his 10-fight pro record suggests.

        2008 U.S. Olympic Team alternate
        Spars with Dawson and Pavlik
        Almost 300 amateur fights

I'm telling you man, Shawn Porter is not to be underestimated.

Its all pretty and cool, but how much more experience could he be, than other fighters with 10 pro fights?

Bob Arum: "Pacquiao looks very good"
              Thursday, October 8th, 2009
Jose Ayala Gordian / Special Envoy

New York. If the president of the company, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, had reserve omments about the seriousness with which the Filipino Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao was preparing for his fight against the Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto, his concerns were allayed and, after passing a week with the Filipino boxer in his training camp in Baguio, Philippines.

Pacquiao entered its third week of training for his mega brawl November 14 against Cotto and Arum said that his preparation is booming.

"At first I had my reservations that Manny could train well in the Philippines, but after seeing him, I understand very well and is aimed at preparing for the fight against Miguel Cotto," Arum said in an interview with Primera Hora.

As explained Pacquiao at the second stop of the promotional tour in early September in Caguas, trainer Freddie Roach chose Baguio for being a peaceful town who do not have many people, thus allowing him to train him properly without much distractions.

"Baguio is one mile above sea level and that's good for their preparation. They are training in a very quiet place where there are few people, who leave him alone. That yes, when he goes running every morning, Manny can easily have about 600 people behind him accompanying him on his mormnin run, "the president of Top Rank said".

At the beginning of the tour, several knowledgeable boxing experts, questioned Pacquiao why he had not started their training. However, Arum noted the seriousness with which Pacquiao and Roach are taking their preparation. The veteran boxing man said that Pacquiao is eating very well and is already falling in time in the gym.

"Now it looks in good shape. One day I saw him working inside the ring and he could not finish a 3 minute round, but he was able to work the next day the entire round. It's getting in shape is already in full swing in training, "he said Arum.

Arum said that during his stay, Pacquiao trained with the junior middleweight prospect, Shawn Porter, light Weight Urbano Antillon. It is also hoped that former Mexican welterweight champion Jose Luis "El Terrible" Castillo will join the work soon.

"Pacquiao will be in Baguio until 24 October. From there moved to Manila and then take a flight to Los Angeles, where on Monday of this week will begin the last part of his training at Wild Card Gym of Roach, "he said Arum.

Bob Arum: “Pacquiao se ve muy bien”
jueves, 8 de octubre de 2009
José Ayala Gordián / Enviado especial

Nueva York.

Do you think Roach is going to let Porter hit Pac like if he was in a real fight? Pac needs to be protected from injuries before the fight. I do not believe that he is getting hit like that. They are not going to risk getting Pac injured when millions are involved. Now the questions is, is Pac going to be able to witstand Cotto's punches? I am a fan of both fighters, did not want this fight to happen. Someone has to be victorious while the other is defeated. It will be a sad day in boxing. They both are classy guys.
