Unlike other opponents, Bivol won`t stand here in close range in Artur`s pocket to get hit behind the head all over again.

Every Artur fight I see the same story and Beterbiev has never faced somebody as good as Bivol.

Neither has Bivol..Canelo sucks. He won't ****ing go anywhere near Beterbiev and he no way no how rematches Bivol .

I think everyone knew Smith would get beat easily here. I don't think this fight proves a lot.

Worrying about the possible PED use though. Dillian Whyte had a similar thing first time round - 2nd test cleared him but he didn't get the level of support this guys gets! Wonder why?....

You wonder why people are looking at a failed PED test and passed PED test differently? One had levels of a somewhat elevated level of a foreign substance in his blood, and has failed tests before that AND after that. The other had a somewhat elevated level of a natural hormone. Smith's head movement was actually good until he tired. His footwork and control of distance is weak though, whereas Bivol is a master with his footwork and controlling the distance. With his skills and endurance, it's possible that Bivol could stay on his bike the whole night, scoring from range to win the decision. I suspect Beterbiev will find that long torso though and slow him down (should the fight happen, of course).

Usually a 5" reach disadvantage is a lot to overcome. But Beterbiev was in and out at will. He won'tbhave it so easy against Bivol, but he obviously knows how to do it well too.

Jean Pascal, Joe Smith Jr, Craig Richards, Salamov, Canelo and Zurdo were all able to get through with clean shots to Bivol's head. Beterbiev will almost certainly join that group but can Bivol take the power? I'd say no given we've already seen him on wobbly legs in a ring.

Bivol went the entire 12 round distance with Castillo - a guy who was left seizing on the canvas by Callum smith in only 2 rounds... If Bivol thought he had to fight cautiously against feather punching Castillo, surely he is out of his depth with Beterbiev. Of course triangle theory and all that with Smith just getting utterly destroyed by AB.

Not sure what round it was but Smith was cracked flush with a monster uppercut to THE THROAT... My God he must be feeling like utter chit today!

Thay throat punch was brutal. Not Artur's fault or anything, but yikes. Ive never been hit in the throat, but I wonder if that was something handled by adrenaline or if he had to will himself to fight through it.

Youth advantage to Bivol, and possibly mobility too, but I think too many people are still sleeping on BeterBiev's ring IQ and skills. I really hope this fight gets made, just to clarify the division. Though Beterbiev vs Benavidez in an 18 ft ring would be a barn burner, a more entertaining fight for most fans.

why would I make things up for? Canelo got through with a clean uppercut through the guard (technically to the chin not the head) and Zurdo landed head shots in round 1 and 2 where he visibly jolted Bivol's head back. watch said fights again if you don't believe me. Bivol is not some super slippery, defensive wizard, he gets hit in a lot of his fights.
