Why are boxing fans still undestimating Ngannou?

I really don't get this at all.

People acting like today's heavyweight division is full of Mike Tysons and Muhammed Ali's and Ngannou has no chance of doing anything.

Ngannou proved vs Fury that he is no chump.

    The man has attributes.

VERY heavy hands, and I'm talking like George foreman type power that even comes from short shots.

    Iron chin

    Fairly quick hands

    Heart

    Desire to win

    A fairly good fight IQ

IMMENSE physical strength, he may be the physically strongest boxer ever, and yes I'm being serious.

People want to **** on this guy due to a "lack of experience"

As I say experience doesn't do anything for you if you don't have the talent.

Heavyweight is a different sport to the rest of boxing, you can go far on the natural ability Ngannou has.

Do you honestly want to tell me Ngannou is a worse boxer than Deontay Wilder?

AJ vs Ngannou is a competetive fight and there is risk there for AJ.

Ngannou won't fall over after a few right hands, and AJ is going to have to get close to Ngannou if he wants to land so he's going to have to be extremely defensively sharp in there and avoid the clinch at all costs.

Ngannou put on a good showing against Fury. But is Fury on the slide? So many unanswered questions, and the majority would rather use the fight to bash Fury, rather than give Ngannou the respect he earned. There are still many unanswered questions, we won't know the answers until after the final bell against Joshua. I'm just looking forward to watching it as a neutral. If Fury didn't train, I don't expect Joshua to make the same mistake. But maybe Ngannou is just a good fighter...

Fury the bellend didn't take the fight serious. He came into the fight looking like a fat slob. If he took it as serious as he is with Usyk, he would've ended Ngaanou I think.

Joshua putting this MMA fighter to sleep I reckon.

People dont respect fury it sadly appears. Francis did so well against fury, but it's a case of so what? Josh is better than fury. If Francis can do well v josh, then Francis must be really a top ten

This era sucks and if there was some clumsy, overrated galoot that could make him or anyone look good its Fury, Ngannou is absolutely awful! Only Fury has this nack of making sorry ass fighters like Wallin look like world beaters.

AJ contrary to popular belief is more fundamentally sound than Fury, faster, more explosive and hits a lot harder.

Ngannou has no chance and I'd be surprised if he lasts 4 rounds and that is being generous. I expect him gone inside 3 brutally by a fundamentally sound, athletic, big HW that can punch.

He just stood totally static with a guard so wide you could have parked a double decker bus between his gloves.
Stood bolt upright, chin up, no head movement winging slaps in between Furys shots.

People just need to stop pretending they can see talent and supposed subtleties and just talking nonsense in attempts to justify total mismatches with ''oh this fighter gave a good account vs some terribly flawed one who couldn't be bothered getting up to train for him''.
Sorry but its a **** fight. Has this sport really fallen to where we sit and pretend that this big dummy can actually box or has great talent? He can barely even move his damn feet!

Its just a fight any HW would take, a big pay day for an easy nights work.
We don't have to overanalyse the hell out of it or try make out its anything but what it is.

Most genuine boxing fans are NOT underestimating Ngannou at all. It's why there hasn't been an outcry over this fight as there was for the Fury fight. Everyone knows Ngannou might be a serious threat in the division...but everyone also knows him being that square on and that slow is perfect match up for AJ if the right AJ turns up.

A "genuine boxing fan" is someone who agrees with your opinion, presumably.
