It happens, but that was a nothing shot. At the very least it was unusual to see a fighter that scrambled from it.

Golden Boy has made their statement. Now someone in the boxing media needs to ask NSAC about this.

I'm withholding judgement pending independent corroboration of the medical information.

I know a lot of people think he's covering his ass but if he's lying, he's ostracized, if not, he's basically a whistleblower and still ostracized so what's the incentive?

This is the same sport that sent it's most popular athlete ever into the ring with Parkinson's to get beat for 10 rounds for the world to see.

The main event should of been cancelled and when it wasn’t , no reason for Weeks to be acting like a human judge
Bad look for Weeks , knowing his past and his premature stoppages ( Barroso fight comes to mind as his most recent )
Yeah, it's a tough situation that should've never come to pass if he's telling the truth. In every situation, there's always a fall guy and there's the ones that are truly responsible that skirt accountability. Golden boy already released a statement basically directing inquiries towards the commission.

Yeah, Golden Boy's response doesn't make me feel any better about this.

They didn't deny what he said, just saying that he was cleared.

Well, we know that, but, why & how was he cleared.

Mannix did on behalf of Sports Illustrated (I posted that), they refused to comment. Haven’t check back in yet

The guy got rocked by a hard jab before getting rushed by Ortiz and folks need more proof? That dude wasn’t all there from the moment that jab started that sequence of punch output.

I also have a hard time believing that they filled a referee in on someones medical information.
I hope you are right but we are at an age and time that no ome is worth a penny for some people.
