  • Will DAZN outlast everyone in the boxing business?

They're been around for how long, 5 years, 6 years? Yet there's no sign of them slowing down.

HBO left, Showtime, Fox Sports, Spike, etc. Won't be surprised if ESPN leaves also as boxing just plays second, third fiddle for them. Amazon will have their probationary period for 2 years, 3 years, then goes back to what they're good at.

I can see the Sauds buying DAZN and sportswashing not just boxing, golf and soccer but even e-gaming, chess, darts, tiddly-winks, hot dog eating and gumboot throwing...

Being able to secure rights on Saudi boxing is tremendous gain for them as they don't have to spend money on fighters' purses and miscellaneous events production costs.

As a sound designer/engineer, I often loathe watching DAZN. However, they typically don't eff around between fights and get straight to business in a timely manner. Still, they need to fire whomever is in charge of their audio. Hire me, I will undercut the competition by half + ringside seats.

Yep... they got everything except their own belts to award and platform to broadcast on.

Don't know that they need alphabet org trash belts though cos they're not worth paying the sanctioning fees for.

A dedicated online broadcast platform like DAZN is definitely the future.

Buy it and they will come on bended knee. Tongues at the ready, willing to lick boot and booty alike for the Kingdoms patronage.

When I first read about it, that's what I called it. Only after I subscribed and heard them pronounce it "Duh Zone" did I realize I was in error.

For the record, I agree. "Dazzin" sounds easier on the ears.

With HBO & Showtime both gone now idk that anyone should be feeling like they can outlast everyone else. I mean based on how much DAZN has supposedly lost (7B range I believe) they are probably the best bet to be the next gone out of the main big ballers now, ESPN & Amazon (in the US).

That wouldn't surprise me if the Saudi's go as big as ppl keep suggesting they will. Sh^t the Saudi's could buy ESPN too, which I believe Disney is shopping around last I heard too.
