Comments Thread For: Oscar De La Hoya Reveals 'Golden' Plan To Expand His Company's Business In Las Vegas

Oscar De La Hoya plans to set up shop in a city where he was once the sport's biggest draw. The Hall of Fame former six-division champ and current chairman of Golden Boy Promotions plans to significantly invest his brand into local shows in Las Vegas. It was no coincidence that his team opened up 2024 with the Vergil Ortiz-Fredrick Lawson DAZN headliner at ****** Hotels Las Vegas.

This arena will come complete with a botox fulfillment center, a free silicon transmission station for fake tittieballs, sex doll wax museum, a glory hole and a golden spatula cleaning machine!

Oscar just might be able to expand his stable of fighters, events, and make a productive impact on the sport of boxing.
If he can just stay away from the drugs, fishnets, and other controversial arguments with his fighters, and other promoters.

Oscar will need a major attraction to fill these new arenas. Not sure if Garcia will stay loyal to Oscar (and not switch to Haymon and Floyd) or keep winning enough to be the franchise. Gotta respect the bold moves and confidence by Oscar though.

Why build a place when all of the casinos have rooms for fights , big and small ? Are the casinos no longer interested in hosting fights ? I just don't know if a stand alone site is going to bring in more than hardcore boxing fans and Vegas locals , maybe some people driving in from California. I hope that it's successful , anything that is good for boxing is good for me too.

I love them building their own venue. This was a genius & cost saving move for the UFC & the same here for GBP now. I'm sure renting a venue in Vegas is expensive, even off the strip, & this is gonna insure they can put on more shows at a fraction of the cost.

Oh he's going with Al and Floyd as soon as the judge says GO!

I was wondering the same thing. There must be a reason but why in Las Vegas where there are plenty of venues available?
