dont see how fury can be 2 inches taller than klitschko. obviously footwear might be coming in to play and maybe klitscho is wearing his trump lifts but they look around the same height give or take a very small margin.

Hmm I just rewatched the Fury - Klitschko fight. Fury does look quite a bit taller to me, and more importantly, he quite obviously has a longer reach.

That's basically how I remembered this fight: Klitschko having huge trouble landing his jabs because of his shorter reach (and getting caught while trying to get into jabbing range) and in part also because of Fury's superior head movement, which is sadly more or less gone nowadays. I much preferred this version of Fury to the current one.

I think Fury's significant reach advantage may also be key vs. Usyk.

ah ok thats very possible. i know lots of guys wear lifts in face offs, public appearances like floyd for example. in his socks he was barely taller than 5'6 hatton but then he suddenly got a lot taller and rivaled 5'8 to 5'9 guys later on in his career

Size matters when you know how to use your size like Fury

AJ was bigger than Usyk but has never really shown he can big man an opponent. AJ will stand off fighters and box at mid rage, which is tailor made for Usyk.

Usyk has never fought anyone with the size of Fury with the ability to implement it.
