Comments Thread For: Ohara Davies: Is Rolly Just A **** Fighter? Or Is Ismael Barroso Good? I Can't Really Work It Out

Ohara Davies has watched the Rolly Romero-Ismael Barroso fight numerous times. The British junior welterweight contender still isn't sure what to make of a 140-pound title fight that resulted in Romero's controversial ninth-round, technical-knockout victory 7 1/2 months ago. Davies respects Barroso and realizes that the

I’d love to see a Rolly vs Ohara press conference, the intellectual debate would be off the charts.

Romero already had gotten a gift when he fought Marinez plus he was matched up against fighters that could not punch. Rolly is the most protected boxer in boxing right now. He has beaten Munguia that has been carefully matched but at least he wins his fights.

Barroso is a solid fighter but he's also the same guy who was stopped by Crolla and Akhmedov. He will beat up to a certain level and lose to those above that. Rolly is probably right at that level; as STREET CLEANER noted, Rolly was gifted a decision against Marinez and he's been matched against light punching opponents.

i expect Davies to win if he's coming prepared, possibly by stoppage. Ismael is an honest fighter that I doubt will lay down; I don't rate O'Hara all that high but I think he's a bit better than Rolly.

I think Davies is in for a beating because Barroso is PO'd to the max over the Rolly fight. He'll try to take it out on Davies. Place your bets.

That's what I want to see. That man needs justice. I hope he gets it. I am 100% rooting for Barroso.

Barroso is a decent fighter and if you ain't the goods he'll show you up and that's what he was doing against rolly until the bogus stoppage. He was Anthony crolla's best win that night when crolla just soaked up everything barroso threw at him and slowly broke barroso down and then finished him with a great body shot. That was a great performance from crolla because barroso was seen as the heavy favourite that night. but at 42 years old or whatever he is now I could see OD knocking him out but I could also see him doing the same aswell if OD takes him lightly

"Seemingly premature stoppage" , the only thing more premature in history was me when I was thirteen and having sex with a girl for the first time.
Tony Weeks should have had his license taken for life , and the whole farce should have been investigated by law enforcement.
