How highly do you rate Luis Ortiz now?

He was doing a similar job to Parker against Wilder until he decided to stand there smiling like a goofball and got smoked.

But in all seriousness where do you rank Ortiz in this generation of heavyweights.

B level at his very best when he beat the likes of Jennings

He was a probably legit top 10 heavyweight for a few years but don't think he was ever really good enough to really beat the top few.

His actual wins aren't particularly great. But Cuban's get a little overrated because there's a stereotype of these great amateur skills, but if you took Ortiz's entire record and attached it to some American or European fighter, they would just be considered a very run of the mill fringe Contender

The likes of Whyte, Parker etc. Have better wins than Ortiz does. He was around their level at best.

        - B level

        the fact he's Wilder's biggest W says a lot about Wilder's resume

So highly that A-side Joshy ducked him when both were signed to matchroom...

            https://www.matchroomboxing.com/news...ith-matchroom/

            ...and Wilder didn’t.

He was a legit top 10 by the time he fought Wilder the first time.

He is a fringe contender now, somewhere top 20.

I rate him as an avoided Dillon Whyte level fighter. The fact he is wilder best win shows how hype job wilder was

Good enough fighter. Not a top 10 at his best, probably top 20, but he probably could have been if better fights were arranged.
