Bud can get sloppy in exchanges and find himself on the floor like against Mean Machine. That was a legit knockdown. We've seen him badly hurt by the likes of Gamboa etc.
Imagine being in Inoue's division, fighting him and getting caught in an exchange like that vs Inoue. You may not get up....
Dont get me wrong, I rate Bud extremely highly and he would've been great in any era in my opinion, but let's not talk nonsense and talk about one fighters flaws and complete ignore the flaws of another fighter.
They're two of the most well rounded fighters in boxing today when they're completely on it.
Inoue's flaws usually appear when he is way too eager to make a statement and get someome out of there. But when he actually boxes, his skills are top notch, as the Fulton fight showed with his incredible jab and movement that night.Comment

But now bud has to show some confidence and not take 5 years to show he's no1, and then also fight tim tszue and charlo in 1st fights at 154.
For some reason you think bud has to do things at a lower standard and hope people can't see it? You are eccentric manLast edited by hugh grant; 01-02-2024, 05:35 AM.Comment

We played this game already.
They said Lil Chocolate Guy was #1 but he had no defense.
They said Lomachenko was #1 but he Lomachecked them, saying Crawford was too big and long since they both fought at 135 at some point in their careers
Now they are saying Inoue is #1 after getting the DDD, Brook and Saunders eye treatment from a 38 yr old Donaire passed his best day which in his best day was destroyed by a slightly out-of-prime Rigondeaux (We know Cubans lie about their age since Frank Sanchez is no way 31 yrs old)
In a mythical fight, Crawford destroys Inoue's other eye and stops him.
It's getting old now.
I noticed they are trying to pull Usyk from heavyweight now, a guy who has found the magic formula for how to avoid getting counted out on debilitating body shots.Comment
