Wouldn't mind if both took up other fights before fighting each other, Ramirez going back in a winning streak and Espinoza building up his record as this was literally his first fight with this level of caliber in terms of opposition.

Not a fan of marinating fights, but have to admit this would make the second fight more interesting, could be seeing the next featherweight classic. (like Morales vs Barrera.)

This is a sparkling example of a man who represents the good in Boxing. You can even see it in his eyes. Looking forward to his next accomplishments.

Why UOTY? Cuban fighters are overrated. Great in the amateurs but good and not too exciting in the pros. The American media just overhypes them because of them being "heroes" that " suffered " Communism and the Castro regime. The Cubans in Miami and on a lesser extent the Latin American community see them as "heroes", which is nonsense.

Bc of the fact that a completely unknown fighter who was given absolutely no shot at winning defeated a 2× olympic gold medalist and world champion that was expected to run him over. Your statement holds no water. You judge them for being great on one side, but critizing for not being exciting on the other. Gotta pick one point to judge them by. As a member of the Latin-American community from Miami that associates with Cuban defectors often, do some research on what goes on in their country and why their courage to escape knowing the consequences is respected. Be blessed that we don't live in communism.

Espinoza looked great and easily won but has to keep in mind the judges almost phucked him.

Felt it was a close fight, but the right man won. That's just boxing for you. Grimy all the way around.

The 2 Olympic gold medals didn’t mean squat, this is the pro game.

Espinoza should get healthy first then run it back.

Don’t know what fight you could have been watching. It went like this, the first could have went either way. Espinoza won 2-4. Ramirez obviously won the 5th with a knockdown. Espinoza won the 6th and Ramirez won the 7th. And that was it for him. Espinoza won 8-12 with a knockdown in the 12th. An honest scorecard reads 116-110 at a minimum. 117-109 if you give Espinoza the 1st. As it was, Espinoza had to have the knockdown in the 12th just to win. This “the right guy won” excuse just ain’t good enough to look the other way when scoring is crooked.

GFYS. You don't know $h1t about Cubans, especially the athletes. Casamayor was exciting, Lara when pit against a good dancing partner is as exciting as they come, Rigondeaux is a stubborn MF, but he can fight and punch, Gamboa was windmill , back in the day Napoles, Ultiminio, Nino Valdes, Tunero Rodriguez, Fernandez, Gavilan, Chocolatico, now Morell jr., Ariel, Tellez, Gomez, Iglesias, Scull, and a least the whole under 18yo squad that defected in Dubai. Tells us what happened to you with a Cuban person and we might be able to help you past the hurdle. It was a heck of a fight that should be another shootout, and you're talking about your opinion of Cuban fighters. Did you finish already?
