Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford: '2023 Fighter of the Year Is Me'

Don't expect Terence Crawford to remain neutral as the boxing peanut gallery ruminates on who deserves to be the Fighter of the Year. As far as the kingpin of the welterweight division is concerned, he is the runaway favorite.

Crawford is a good but delusional fighter. The Monster is the fighter of the year. More active and total dominance against top competition.

At some point, NSB needs to ask themselves why Crawford feels the need to be so defensive about Inoue or Canelo.

bud was pretty quiet guy for years and nows hes gone mad with his demand for flowers and recognition, its always better to be given something freely than demanding it all the time

If he had beaten Ennis he would have been fighters of the year, but he was too inactive.

Terrance Crawford hands down. Crawford vs Spence was a monumental fight with historical significance.

Naoya Inoue is an incredible talent and he won the fights he was supposed to win but he's like Kobe living in the shadow of MJ.

Meh. When you say more active you’re talking about 1 additional fight.

I don’t mind Inuoe getting FOTY, but it’s no question Crawford fought the higher ranked, more celebrated champion out of a list of Spence, Fulton, and Tapales. Should be a close race. Let’s see if the significance and size of Bud v Spence is enough to edge the extra fight Inuoe had. Both of them became 2 division undisputed champs this year , so they both had amazing accomplishments.

Crawford had the best win of the year against the best opponent of anyone who has fought this year, and he did so in a fashion the surpassed anyone’s expectations. Inactivity is the biggest strike against him and will likely be the reason why he won’t get foy.
