Comments Thread For: Subriel Matias to Teofimo Lopez: 'Stop Being a Coward'

Junior welterweight titlist Subriel Matias is doing his part to whip up hard feelings toward Teofimo Lopez. Matias, the IBF 140-pound titlist from Puerto Rico, and Lopez, the WBO 140-pound titlist from Brooklyn, New York, are reportedly in talks to meet in the ring next summer for a unification of their junior welterweight belts.

That's it Subriel, call Teofimo a coward, and force him to agree to take the fight against you once, and for all at Madison Square Garden.
You've already got the boxing fan's in New York ready to buy up all the tickets, for June 2024 on the Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend.

Top Rank owns that date, and venue, so there's no reason NOT to make it happen, other than they know the fans will be rooting for Subriel!

I wish Gary Antuanne Russell would MAN UP, and call out Subriel for a fight!!!

Matias is tough but I think Teos athleticism would give him enough to pull it off

With easier options on TR, lets see if Teo makes this fight.
