Wilder has still never earned $40milion for one fight in his career, and he never will now. Considering his highest purse at that time was around $2.5million, it was a fantastic offer.

I have no idea about wilders take home pay in his fights, but if boxing contracts are anything to go by i suspect his take home pay is quite a bit higher than his listed pay, as good as the dazn contract, probably not in the long run

Like Eddie said, if Wilder's team wanted to talk about he and AJ's money, they shouldn't have excluded him from the meeting.

Nope...On neutral Saudi terrtory with an unbiased ref, if AJ beat Parker again i would tip my hat and laud Joshua with praise and kudos for beating my guy fairly and squarely.

No trilogy needed no rematch clause necessary. End of story. Parker would sign up for that in a heartbeat.

AJ would need another can to crush, a rematch clause, his name first on the bill, a 70/30 split, and even then would have doubts.

The guy doesn't know who he is as a fighter and a man so hides behind Fast Eddies shenanigans.

Joshua needs to grow a pair and call someone out. Someone with credibility.

There was nothing convincing about AJ/Parker in 2018.

A 2024 rematch would remove all doubt and convincingly prove it wasn't fixed by the ref and Fast Eddie.

Forget the money. If AJ had wanted to unify against Wilder in a one shot 50/50 split with no rematch over the last 6 years he could have.

That he didn't is weak.

I’m more interest in seeing AJ vs Hrgovic for a title. If that can’t be made then either Parker or Zhang.

Parker is the easier fight imo and I think most people would prefer Zhang

Thats fine, but AJ v Hrgovic is maybe 2 years away and not a guarantee for a title on the line.

In the meantime i doubt either of the matchroom fighters in Hrgovic or AJ will go near anyone Fast Eddie isn't sure they'd crush easily and risk losing their spots at the head of the queue.

So that rules out Zhang and Parker.

And who the hell wants to see Hrgy and AJ vs the Wallins and DeMoris of the division as a couple of stay busy fights for next year ?

According to John Skipper, DAZN CEO, the meeting didn't last long. The first and only question put to him by Wilder's team was about the total money available for the fight - the "pot" as Finkel called it. And when they were told that the only money that could be discussed at the meeting was Wilder's fee, they terminated the meeting and left.

I remember, at the time, Wilder's side were talking about AJ/Wilder being a $100million fight on Showtime PPV in the US, and Eddie Hearn saying that was wildly optimistic, as Wilder was as unknown to US fans as AJ back then.

But even if it would have been a $100million fight on US PPV, $40miilion for Wilder would have been equivalent to a 60/40 split in AJ's favour, which would have been very, very generous, considering that AJ's highest purse at that time was somewhere around 30 million dollars, and Wilder's was only about 2.5million. I know there was a lot of talk back then about Haymon paying undisclosed extra money to his fighters, but Wilder's fights weren't on PPV and he wasn't fighting in Vegas casinos with multi-million dollar gates, so I don't know where the extra money could have been coming from in his case.

Second, you putting Wallin on the same level as De Mori shows what a ******ly biased poster you are. Wallin was coming off a good win over Gassiev. He was ranked No2 by the IBF and is famous for taking Tyson Fury to a life and death decision 4 years ago, which was Otto's only defeat till the AJ fight.

De Mori was ranked nowhere by anybody and his only claim to fame was getting KTFO in one round by a semi-crocked David Haye in Haye's first come back fight after a 4 year retirement back in 2016.
