  • Boxing fans are strange nowadays

Bivol dominates every second, just lacks to KO his opponent who was in survival mode from the start. boxing fans: he sucks, he is boring.

Wilder does nothing for 12 rounds, loses every round. Boxing fans: maybe is he still a good fighter, Parker just has his number.

    LoL.

I still rate bivol, he does lack a slight bit of explosive power but we have always known that and besides that he has everything else.

Sure, but it is funny, some guys give Wilder a credit for doing nothing, lol.

Wilder is a bum. If he fought at any division under cruiserweight, he would be considered bum.

I mean Saturday they both ****** for different reasons. Bivol underperformed by not getting rid of a guy who's well beneath his skill level. And Wilder ****** for not even showing up to fight lol. Just cuz they ****** for different reasons doesn't mean they both didn't suck. That said I think everyone would prefer to suck while winning so Bivol ****** less & won the day over Wilder in that way at least.

And look this ain't a Bivol thing. This is a boring thing. Bivol, Nunn, Winky, Macho, Floyd, Shakur are/have been deemed boring fighters at various times by fans. This IS an entertainment sport at the end of the day. Winning is only part of the goal one should be trying to achieve if one is smart & if you aren't a lot of fans are not gonna enjoy watching you.

It reallllllllllllly ain't even that serious. If Bivol is happy winning above being winning while entertaining he's obv able to do just that. But fans are just as able to be bored seeing him fight that way.

Bivol could have done with not being on the main card of that particular bill.

He also followed the barn burner between Dubois and Fat Baby.

Lyndon coming in at 4 weeks notice was never gonna have much ambition even at the best of times (what would he be the 6th best light heavy just in the uk) but he is good enough to go long and the distance if he wants to especially with someone who isn't a big puncher.

I think most people suspected that would go long and be one sided and as such..boring.

Bivol barely makes any mistakes. There was no jeopardy. The only highlight was when Arthur landed a good body shot and it annoyed Bivol to turn it up a bit.

Was Breidis meant to fight Opetaia on that bill?

No, Briedis was never ready for that date.

I enjoyed watching Bivol. He did press for the stoppage a few times but Arthur was good enough in survival mode to make it through those multiple combination attacks. It would have been nice to see a stoppage to set up the Beterbiev fight but I think Beterbiev will KO Smith spectacularly and get people calling for the unification anyway.

With Bivol, its like when Sergio Marinez dominated ever second of every rd with Chavez jr and all people remember is jr. dropping him and "almost winning" even though Sergio took the rest of the rd with him. The sentiment is probably because a domination was expected, it'll be different with a challenger people feel is more of a threat.

Wilder is and always was awful, a combination of good match making, his explosive power which is gone now, and self belief which is also gone now created the Wilder illusion.

This is probably one of the most objective post I've read on this site. Parker won, but he did not beat Wilder. Wilder never showed up to fight, for whatever reason. Credit Parker with the "W"
