Wilder doesn't care for roadwork which means he doesn't follow old boxing wisdom. Which tells.me he probably has sex duriing training camp too.

Yes there was a gameplan.
There was also just a good heavyweight in there. Wilder is 38 and inactive... but that excuse only really works if you've had a resume that proves you were once elite. Wilder doesn't - he was an unproven 38 year old ex champion. History should show that he simply wasn't ever particularly good. He was just a very carefully matched investment.Comment

You got that backwards…IF Scott knew anything he’d know he doesn’t need to over teach Wilder bc Wilders capacity for actually applying what he’ll do is limited to a one/ two combination and wait and look approach for an opening, this guys teaching complicated stuff even a 3 punch combo is confusing to him once the bell rings that’s why he did well with Breland bc Breland knew he can act as a top trainer bc you can’t instruct Wilder with to much information bc he gets burnt mentally that’s not even a joke bc I see it .
Malik is a great trainer the problem is passing on great knowledge won’t work here it might look good in spots in training but a fight is much different with someone trying to hit you for real ,he goes blank .Last edited by juggernaut666; 12-25-2023, 11:02 PM.Comment

Sounds about right. Even if it wasn't fully this, it feels like it was partially this. Hell I think AJ looking meh, til Saturday, is on the same path. Who wants to get hit in the head for up to 36mins when you got a $100M net worth.
I often wonder how guys like Floyd, Alvarez & SRL stayed so good for so long when they were making so much money. I think those guys & similar guys who get paid these wild paydays & stay around at a high level for 10 or more years are the ultimate unicorns in boxing. And a guy like Buster Douglas is an extreme example of the reverse. Its easier to be motivated & working hard when you are broke, its harder to stay motivated & working hard when you drive to the gym in your 3rd Lambo from your $5M home & you got 3 models & 2 movie stars in your rotation.Comment

That is the way Wilder fights. He needs a space to throw his right hand. Parker knew this. he understood Wilder had no inside game plan.
So, each time Wilder showed some intention to throw his right hand, Parker would step inside, closer. very simple and absolutely the right tactics fighting guys like Wilder.
It could be wrong tactics fighting Ruiz. Because Ruiz has very fast hands. Parker actually almost lost to Ruiz.Comment

Wilder s defence isn't too bad though that's why when Parker was unloading as he smelt blood, lots were missing Wilder s whiskers. When I look at the bombs jarrel was taking against ddd.
I think wilder is a class above jarrelComment
