I remember going to AZ for other reasons and stopping by central boxing club on 18th and van buren. I saw a young jose when he was around 140lbs. I probably saw david but didnt know who he was. Back then, they had a southpaw at 168 who was a hard puncher. I forget his name but he was in the gym that day. Anyway, david has to be on any p4p list. I had him there every since i saw how he beat the sh..t outta J'Leon Love and Porky Medina. It was like their head was in a blender. P4p is subjective but I always knew he was no joke and was a much avoided guy. I'll always remember Floyd and Ellerbe's faces after he touched up J'Leon. It looked like they were sucking on a sh...t turd. A sick, sour look that was priceless lolComment

Unfortunately Canelo probably won't fight Benavidez but there are some intriguing guys out there. Beterbiev claims he will fight him at 175. Would love to see it!Comment

To clarify, it is not that Canelo fearing fighting Benavidez in general, but the fact of doing it at 168. Canelo already knows another loss or two itself isn't going to hurt him paycheck wise...as long as it is in 175 or catchweight and he still has the 168 undisputed status. However, the risk factor from the possibility of losing all that to Benavidez at 168 is too high IMO. If Benavidez suddenly decides to go up to 175 and defeats Beterbiev or Bivol then calls for a Canelo fight at 175, I can see it happening in a heart beat. If Canelo wins, he further adds to his legacy. If he loses, he doesn't actually lose that much as he still has undisputed 168.Comment
