    He asked for more money and canelo wanted the exactly same contract. He, bivol even offered to come down to 168, old news, canelo didn't budge, by the way he never exercise his rematch option he let it expired and try to make the fight under the same stipulations.

            maybe he could have then flexed that muscle and demanded say 5 mil for the rematch, thats what i would have done anyway

                  Bivol pretty much admitting he never really wanted to run it back with the ginger even tho knowing thats another career record purse for a 'relatively' light work...or maybe it wasn't that 'light' after all at least from his 'fighter perspective'.

                      Canelo seemed to want the rematch but only under his terms and it doesn't work that way. You want something from someone you have to make some concessions but his ego wouldn't let that happen.
