Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Trainer on Wilder: The Minute You Have a Momentary Lapse, He'll Pounce

Trainer Andy Lee is working to make sure Joseph Parker will not suffer from inattentiveness during his upcoming fight against puncher Deontay Wilder. Lee, the former middleweight titlist from London, is preparing New Zealand's Parker for his 12-round bout with Tuscaloosa, Alabama's Wilder bout on Dec. 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The card will feature Anthony Joshua in the main event against Otto Wallin, as well as a host of other top names, including light heavyweight titlist Dmitry Bivol and cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia.

    It doesn't matter..

If Joyce could KO Parker, Wilder should have a similar result, in less time.

Hoping Parker can take that right hand in stride
Still leaning to a 3rd round stoppage
I just don’t think he can handle that right especially after re watching his fight with Joyce
And Joyce is slow as fugh
They’re counting on ring rust but for it to be favourable , Parker needs to take him into deep waters
      Nah

I like Parker, but I think wilder stops him in the first round ( straight right hand )

Parker is the worst boxer in the world arguably he has all the ability in the world and he just doesn't use it for example some of the multiple things going for him but he doesn’t use his speed when he needs to, jabs and move when he needs to, uses aggression when he needs to or worse still chooses to use said attributes at the wrong time.

I feel the same. Parker will catch Wilder inside at some point.

"The card will feature.. cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia."
                > former* cruiserweight champion Jai Opetai

"Parker has won two fights in a row since his brutal knockout loss to Joe Joyce."
                > he's won 3* fights in row

"Parker may be taking on the most dangerous assignment of his career in Wilder, who has recorded 42 stoppages in 43 fights."
                > 42 stoppages in 46* fights

                Little sloppy, Sean.

Worst boxer in the world is a bit harsh but I agree the guy has a lot of tools, some of which are god given like handspeed and a very solid chin, but he fails to deliver time and time again due to his temprement.
