  • Comments Thread For: Wilder on Facing Joshua: The Only Thing That Can Stop it is One of Us Losing

At this moment, heavyweight contender Deontay Wilder believes a long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua will certainly happen - and he says the only thing that can stop their fight is a loss, by either, on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia.

and this is based on? he literally offered wilder 100 million dollars and wilder said no. then wilder was locked into 3 fury fights and has only had 1 fight since and that wasnt going to be joshua after 3 losses. now the fight is actually happening yet you are still repeating the same false accusation. so strange.

Wilder was offered 100,000,000 over three fights, with several caveats. One of which was that Joshua had to win his next fight. Which, of course he lost.

You guys keep floating that. Hearn said that when Wilder walked out the negotiations that they should have treated him more professionally and also that contract had other fighters injected into it.

It is nice narrative to say that he was offered 100 million dollars and he walked away. A dude that fought Fury twice and forced another third fight. To say he is scarred is ridiculous

"The only thing that can stop their fight is a loss, by either, on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia" and Eddie C*nt. I kind of believe Wilder more when it comes to this fight that never happens.

oh you mean the same exact situation that is happening right now lmao! joshua and wilder both have to win their next fights or the fight is off. why couldnt he do that for 100 million? cause he wanted easy fights. now he is in desperation mode so he signed yet people keep blaming joshua due to their severe bias/lack of critical thinking. they come up with any excuse for him. also if you follow the timeline breazele was named mandatory before joshuas offer so the reason joshua and wilder were going to take one fight and then fight each other is due to that...it was literally baked into the contract to accomodate wilder but you are trying to twist it into something nefarious? so silly

The WBC has officially ordered heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder to fight mandatory challenger Dominic Breazeale.

wilders team admitted the offer was legit so just stop. fury was considered a cherry pick when wilder fought him so just stop. the great revisionist history narrative strikes again. just because wilder miscalculated his cherry pick and fury was better than expected doesnt mean it was some great fight and after the first fight he was basically locked into the other fights. he thought fury would be easier than joshua. thats the point and he made half the money to fight fury. yes that is being scared. he thought he was taking an easier fight. in reality he might have miscalculated but at the time joshua was ranked #1 not fury.

They did say that the offer was legit with a lot of stipulations. Don't see the issue.

You just dislike the guy so much that it clouts your brain.

You used to be a funny poster but have not been funny in years, nothing but bitter now.

I am no hardcore Wilder fan, dude does a lot of embarrassing things in and out of the ring but that right hand is legit.

yeah stipulations like they both had to win their next fight...aka the same exact thing that is happenign now! what are the stipulations that were too much to overcome...oh yeah none. joshua even agreed to fight wilder in the US when he was the much bigger star. oh my god another stipulation! also the stipulations were all wilders fault since the wbc had already ordered wilder-breazele so they bent over backwards to accomodate him in this contract. check my above post for proof of that. you arent actually supposed to believe their media blitz propaganda. just look at the terms and decide for yourself...then look at what wilder did isntead of signing that contract. pretty obvious they wanted to go in an easier direction which yielded wilder much less money. thats not good for boxing and thats not defensible.

how is my brain clouded? you are the one saying fury was some great risk when most thought he was shot. how do you think that makes you look? was fury better than expected? yes but that doesnt mean wilder wasnt looking for easier fights or what he thought were easier fights and for much much less money. joshua was #1 and fury was irrelevant at that time. thats not even debatable. also if you look at the odds joshua was about a 2 to 1 fav over wilder at that time while wilder was a 2 to 1 fav over fury so yeah he took the easier fight.
