David Morrell Jr. wants to fight David Benavidez or Canelo Alvarez next. The unbeaten Cuban southpaw will settle, however, for the former super middleweight champion who has lost only to Alvarez and Benavidez. Facing Caleb Plant would at least present Morrell (10-0, 9 KOs) with an opportunity to prove

Certainly more realistic than Canelo or Benavidez.

Personally, I don’t see Team Plant taking this fight. There is no money in it.

This the real reason plant has been pushing for the charlo fight. He knows the 2 most realistic opponents for him are morrell or charlo. No one wants the Morell smoke lol.

Plant isn’t fighting Morell, just like the rest of the top of 168 isn’t. The only one that has seen about it was Benavidez and team morrel said he wasn’t ready.

Morrell blasts out a cab driver and suddenly he is line for Canelo and Beneviedez? He should fight Plant next, then we will see where he stands

People are forgetting Al needs to make fights for the 14 cards on Prime. Amazon isn't going to play with him. Morrell will have highlight reel viewer-friendly stoppages or beatdowns. I got money Al is going to put guys in the meat grinder just like he stuck Andrade in a straw-weight 18 ft ring with Benavdiez. One of his named guys is going to get beat down by Morrell. Mark it on your calendar

Again with the "he wasn't ready", Shields wanted to know his fighter, learn what he could do and then teach him, with only one fight with him he wasn't not ready to move forward with the kid, Shields wasn't ready. Now is now.

Plant isn't going to get in the ring with Morrell. Nothing in there but a brutal beating for him.
