Vergil is gone so that coulda been a fight that might be a big fight in another year or so but not now. Showtime Shawn is gone. Danny is gone. 147 isn't what it was. Maybe Devin moving up is a small big fight lol. Barrios with the Ugas W gots a lil more rub now. Theres nothing that gets me very hyped tho. Manny, well past his prime, might have to comeback to give Boots anything that feels like a 147 monster movie PPV fight title & that don't hype me up either.

I think Boots won't get a legit big PPV fight til he moves to 154 or maybe even 160. He got bumped up a lil too late to be in play for the established PPV guys & guys are gonna be gone soon with the next era is still being built.
So Boots' camp is essentially waiting for nothing when it comes to money fight. And we all know they're only interested in fights within the PBC/Showtime perimeter, Thurman, Spence, Barrios, who else?

Thurman is no longer in the conversation millennia ago. I never believed his injury excuses. Never even gave details about it and fans just soaked it up as if it's gospel.

I don't think he's waiting for a money fight. I think he's trying to get one/get in position so he gets one, but I don't think it'll work out with how good he's looking in most fights & with most of the big names on the back side of their time in the game or trying to be big names still.

I think with Saudi money in play he'll get one eventually, but idk if there is one at 147 anymore. I think Errol & Bud are both done at 147. I don't think Keef wants that fight & idek if Keef is a big PPV fight anymore with how seldom he fights. Staninois might be the most interesting fight, but idk that either got big enough names for that to be a money fight. Barrios despite being 0-2 as the main event in PPV's might be the biggest 147 PPV to make for Boots, but again that really doesn't feel like a big money fight to me.

It can happen anytime if Ennis is able to convince Haney, who loves being in the region, to be his dance partner in a Saudi card.

              Agree.

If anyone follows Boots on social media it's clear he's always in the gym & always in shape. And hes announcing fight dates incoming all the time that never seem to happen & then you'll hear rumors online of this fight or that fight falling through. Fooking Cody Crowley fake retired over not wanting to fight Boots.

So it appears hes ready & trying to book fights but being a Showtime guy whos not linked up with PBC hasn't done him any favors. I wouldn't be mad at him signing with Eddie at this point now that he gots a belt to get him more active.

What exactly Jaron "Boots" Ennis is waiting for? Terence "Bud" Crawford is now available and no longer hampered by the rematch clause which Spence failed to implement.

Ennis and Crawford are both free agents. Showtime's Espinoza can no longer interfere with whatever BLK offers. This might be the perfect time for Ennis camp to do something. They can't just wait around and hope something happens. They have to make the first move. Send a lawyer and have him talk to the Crawford camp. If nothing happens, then so what? Second step is to go to the media and say what you have to say and start the Crawford ducking Ennis campaign, and so on. You get the idea. Waiting around doing nothing is not the way to deal with it. We're assuming Ennis truly want that Crawford smoke.

Yes. To me, he's just the latest in a string of fighters who get a disproportionate amount of attention for being American and doing a lot of talking.

America is not the home of boxing but the home of inactive "muh A side", "muh split" social media big mouths.

With his vaunted skills and talent I don't even know what they're afraid of. It's a pathetic camp trying very hard to cherrypick opponents tailor-made for their boy. I don't even care if he picks bums as long as he fights 3-4 times a year. The shaming campaign needs to start with this guy. He should at least make it clear he's only fighting once or twice a year, so that people don't have to hype him so much.

True. Too much talking, not much walking.
