And if by some crazy miracle Casimero pulls off an upset one last time, he can get his value back up for Inoue to fight him.

Thankfully due to MJ doing what he was supposed to do today, he's now the mandatory after Nery.
May vs Nery mandatory in US.
Aug vs MJ mandatory in Japan
Dec vs Goodman who has Aleem and Casimero in his resume in Japan for end of the year farewell to super bantam
2025 off to featherweights...my dream scenario can still happen! (Not saying it WILL happen, but I can dream)

Granted with how high and where Goodman is ranked right now, he might automatically be the mandatory anyway. Compared to the fiasco that was 118, 122 is actually set up quite well currently ranking wise:
    WBC 1) Nery 2) Picasso...mandatory Nery determined.
WBA 1) MJ 2) Gonzalez...won eliminator and mandatory MJ determined.
IBF 1) Goodman 2) NR 3) MJ 4) Carl Martin (who???) 5) Casimero
    WBO 1) Goodman 2) Nery 3) Casimero

If WBO orders an eliminator between Goodman and Casimero early next year while Inoue takes care of Nery and MJ that will be ideal. If IBF effs it up and makes a Goodman/Martin eliminator I will be bummed.

Oh thanks, I must've totally missed it. Then that means the next three mandatories for Inoue are Nery followed by either MJ or Goodman second and third.
Well, looks like Casimero is outta luck lol...unless he does an eliminator for WBO.

        Interestingly WBO current ranking is:
        1) Goodman (mandatory IBF)
        2) Nery (mandatory WBC)
        3) Casimero
        4) Doheny
        5) Aleem
        6) MJ (mandatory WBA)

I missed that too. Goodman vs Aleem was a final eliminator for the number one position. When the IBF call that mandatory will partly depend on where it sits in the rotation for the Inoue - Tapales winner. According to the IBF website it's not due until 01/08/2024.

Tapales/Nery/MJ/Goodman are a damn good year and a half of competition IMO. Will enjoy all four of those fights.

Casimero has looked like poop on sun baked asphalt in his last 3 fights. Never mention this pedophile again.

fulton defended vs. roman (wbc & wbo #1) in 2022. mj defended vs. rios (one of 2 wba mandatories, the other one was azat) in 2022. mj defended vs. tapales (ibf mandatory) in 2023.
azat would have been next but he didn't want to wait and fought nery (already wbc #1). aleem was already wbo #1 but he didn't want to wait too and fought the highest rated challenger that accepted ibf's eliminator, sam goodman.
in a fair world both nery and goodman would now be double mandatories for the undisputed champion. i applaud goodman, aleem, azat and nery for fighting instead of waiting. that is what i want from fighters. it doesn't matter that aleem and azat lost. it's a part of the sport. i respect them.

after sharing information i'll now answer you. ibf is the last in rotation because their mandatory fight was the last one. wbc, wba & wbo would have to agree on the order. i don't know if wbo treats fulton - inoue as a wbo mandatory fight. that is common practice but you never know for sure.
