I wonder if this became the plan when robeisy lost. I really think they were going to move him up for that fight if robeisy and inoue both won this month. Espinoza is slightly less appealing.

122 is the prime division for Inoue. Tapales, Nery, Goodman, Casimero, and Akhmadaliev are all good fights for him to clear out the division. Yes, an eventual move to 126. But featherweight right now is lacking a real star. The belts there keep changing hands and there is no unification happening. Lopez is the most appealing opponent at the moment, but he needs more building up to be a marquee opponent for Inoue.

With the Robeisy upset, 126 really could use another year to solidify who that number one of the division is so maybe 2025 will end up being the year to go up afterall.

Inoue too small for 126. Better Stick to 122

Inoue already beat the man who beat the man who beat the man. Easy work.

IMO... Nery has way too many holes in his defense to last long vs Inoue.
It will be a short night... and likely the end for Nery. Just my 37 cents worth, that's all.

Nery is too unreliable. He can't fight in Japan. He got KO'd by Figs. Inoue would have to give advantages and risk more cheating. This might be just a wish.
