Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Gives His Take on Dubois-Miller, Joshua-Wallin, Bivol-Arthur

CHRISTMAS IS QUICKLY closing in but, before we contemplate tucking into any turkey, we will encounter our Day of Reckoning in Riyadh. Yes, probably the most bumper card in the history of boxing is nearly upon us and this significant sporting segment of Riyadh Season takes place on December 23 at the spectacular Kingdom Arena.

There has been a life line thrown to a couple of HWs on this card. Junior Fa & Jarrell Miller getting one last chance to keep their names relevant. Fa getting crushed by Browne was catastrophic to his career & Miller lost millions because of PEDS. Neither deserves their opportunity but both getting a chance to redeem themselves.

Huge night for Dubois. Easier said than done but he needs to make Miller move a great deal early on before he tries to crack him. A good victory for Dubois would be on the cards after a gruelling fight just to let himself know he can get through these kinds of fights until the end. Obviously sparking him cold in a round isn't going to hurt his career either but you get the point.

Fa built up a tiny bit of momentum with his performance against Parker; it was probably the best of seen of Junior and one of the most lethargic and sloppy form Joe. Regardless, it was a close fight.

Junior undid any of that momentum with a stunning knockout loss against limited journeyman Big Daddy Browne.

Miller is another matter; Absolutely a disgrace to the sport. DuBois seems like a nice enough fellow and while I think he's rather brittle I will be pulling for him to relegate Miller to an even more extreme fringe of irrelevancy so I don't have to hear him or see him again.

Fa got crushed by illegal blows to the neck .

Fighters today are landing them more then ever bc they aren’t being called or looked at as a risk bc refs take forever to actually penalize someone fir rabbit punches .

At least this card might be an indication that they are finally willing to risk a little bit and with the Fury v Usyk undisputed looming we just might see a clearer picture that’s well overdue.

Fa was also not in very good shape. If he was in the same shape he was for Parker I think he beats Browne with little issues.
