Comments Thread For: Eubank vs. Benn Negotiations Conclude: No Deal Reached, Both Sides Moving On

Chris Eubank Jnr will not be fighting Conor Benn. Not on February 3rd 2024, anyway. Earlier this week, Benn's promoter, Eddie Hearn, admitted that the fight was in danger of falling apart and it was confirmed today that the saga - which began back in October 2022 when Benn's positive test for the banned substance clomifene caused the late cancellation of their initial catchweight fight - has finally come to an end. For the time being.

Weak fight, glad it isn't happening but Hearn will still talk about it every day for years until it does so I don't feel much annoyance lifted yet.

Eubank going after the IBO belt is about what I was expecting from him. Facing 'a knockout specialist' who has less than 50% KO rate.

Eubank is a decent fighter but way he has ran his career is trash. He literally asked not to be called mando for Janibek to im guessing fight Benn. Now if that doesn't happen he doesn't fight Janibek clear duck. He could have fought for 2 legit titles and if he got them could have had more bargaining power in future big fights

eubank lost his pen for ggg & now again for benn

delighted this time tho & ggg would have smashed him back then and he knew that too

benn the henn will just have to remain cooped up, looks like he ruffled the wrong feathers & hes fast becoming fast eddies lame duck

eddie now on the phone to coke kell resurrecting him for a massive massive foit, its something thats played out before too, he sub'd in for eubank v ggg and got his eye socket smashed, eddie probably wouldnt care if juiced up benn did a job on kell either, as long as he got paid & skanky benn got another big foit out of it & another payday for ed too

Eddie Hearn once again talking the talk and failing to walk the walk. Yet another big fight he has failed to deliver.

Jr. needs to go to 168 if he is to fight on which seems the case. Though I just don't see who he beats worthwhile. Benn should take this opportunity to clear his self with the BBBOC .
