It isn't like he was Tank and brought huge money on the table by himself but had zero interest in fighting Haney or wanted to become undisputed to begin with. The fact that Shakur, while beltless allegedly offered Frank Martin a 25 split further adds on to the pettiness.

The end result is that Haney moved up and got another belt while Shakur had to linger around waiting for an opponent and finally ended up fighting for just one of Haney's belt for likely less money. Now after that boring match Shakur will have even less allure to get big money matches in the future. If Shakur thought he could win against Haney (which I thought he will) and was smart enough to look at the long term picture back then, Shakur would be an undisputed lightweight right now and have every right to offer 25 to any contender not named Tank (who obviously has no interest in fighting a live body) and made so much more money while having the legacy of being three division champ currently undisputed.
yeah that about sums it up

Look at the size advantage he has. He should be hitting as hard as Benevidas. Haney is HUGE.

So it's true then. But I still don't get the drama. If it is allowed, why not take advantage of it?

Is it a requirement be weighed by the commission on fight night? It is said that big stars in the past don't allow it, so they don't have to make excuses for it.

I mean why not keep it secret next time?

Cmon bro!
It's been on record that Haney was significantly draining himself down to make 135. Which means dehydrating your muscles. Which means significantly less power.

And Zorrilla had Regis a bit unsteady at times - let's not make it seem like he's not been a bit loopy before.

That I agree! They are still hurt that Loma pissed his opportunity away by not taking the fight to Devin and letting his hands go more. In addition, Haney was not hard to find either.

He stood flat-footed, right in front of the Matrix" and took the fight straight to him. Therefore, Loma only has himself to blame. He needed to create enough room and space in order to win the fight and take the titles away from Devin.

However, he failed to do so on the three official judge's scorecards.

Remember in his last fight with Danielito Zorrilla; Regis Prograis was both knocked and dropped to the canvas in the very first round also.
So was Zorrilla weight bullying him too or was it just Devin Haney doing it?

We might as well face it. The "Rougarou" is now a shopworn, washed out and gatekeeper status fighter at this point of his career. His body is now showing early signs of decline and aging.

not everybody is a power puncher he has enough power to make his opponents think, hes never come in overweight like many of these guys. but if its something you want to complain about then go ahead. maybe he will move up but hopefully we see him vs a few of the top at 140.
