1. GGG before he got old
2. Jermall Charlo
3. Jermell Charlo when they were around the same weight class
4. Demetrius Andrade at 154 & 160
5. Beterbiev
6. Bivol at 168

So more realistically Andrade is the only guy you could maybe make a case for.
The only one was pretty much golovkin but didn't fight him til he was past it. Got a gift against Lara and nothing special after that
Agree, he fought some pretty good fighters but waited too long on the GGG trilogy and still ended up looking bad because GGG came on late and swept the championship rds after doing nothing for the first 8.
Lara is a such a hard luck fighter, he has never to this day been clearly beaten but always comes up short on the cards in close fights.
Urgh, that's a tough question.. remembering the rankings/rivals from years ago.
From the obvious ones, not rematching Lara was bad. Aging out Golovkin not one, not two, but three times was weak sauce. Getting busted for PEDs in the middle was worse.
Not fighting Jermall is not a good look. Choosing the most vulnerable champion at LHW (Kovalev) coming off a short camp and tough fight was weak.. but understandable. Avoiding Zurdo I never understood. Prior to getting exposed by Bivol, he was Mexican, undefeated, and wanted to fight Canelo. I'm sure there are others I forget.
So he didn't rematch some guys and waited out Golovkin. Then Zurdo and Andrade. Yeah I'm actually really confident the Benavidez fight does happen. And the money is definitely there for it.
But i do sort of agree on Jermall. That guy's a wreck now and I'm not sure if the fight ever matters again.
