  • Comments Thread For: Prograis: Haney Definitely Better Than I Thought; Fast Feet, Good Defense, Sneaky Power

Regis Prograis knew Devin Haney was good. It wasn't until round by befuddling round unfolded Saturday night, though, that Prograis realized Haney is that good. The former undisputed lightweight champion's elusiveness, hand speed, jab and ring IQ puzzled Prograis throughout their 12-round, 140-pound title fight and rendered the New Orleans native a former champion again.

Imma lose another one, then Imma going to be reduced to secondary level fighter, with a record showing that my best win is Jose Zepeda, and the two genuine top fighters I fought both beat me.

Haney gave a perfect match. Second time around Regis gets beat by a technicnal boxer.

Props to Devin for not hugging and taming the Roguru.

Wilder can learn a lot from Prograis when it come to sportmanship. A real sportman accept defeat when he's bettered by a superior opponent and doesn't spew out nonsensical excuses. I applaud Prograis in that regard.

“He’s definitely better than I thought he was, for sure,” well no s*** you didn't win a single round

Regis is a such a classy, humble and sweet guy! He’ll be back.

I wish him all the best. I believe he could use a new trainer at this stage of his career.

This is his second uneven performance in a row. Also, he is showing signs of aging.

He has lost a great deal of his timing and reflexes.

So can Loma and any other boxer that makes excuses after a loss.

Great to see a boxer admit the other boxer was better than he thought after a loss. No excuses. No BS.

                  Respect to Prograis.

                    Great reaction from Prograis.
A lot of fighters act like their manhood was taken after a loss.

(Canelo's reaction "he is not better than me" after being soundly beaten by Bivol still annoys me...)
