A lot of those cats rather watch mini-golf. Just because rich people and a lot of the U.S. knows Tiger doesn't mean he's popular on a global scale. Boxing is worldwide sport that both rich and poor watch and enjoy. Usain Bolt makes some sense in terms of popularity. Everyone watches the Olympics and the man is an Olympic hero.
You also seem to forget that Tiger Woods has been mainstream media since he was a little boy! Go dig up the Oprah videos on him. He turned pro in 1996 and had even MORE media coverage given his amateur career was so brilliant. Now 13 years later (and a billion dollars later) he is, IMO, the most highly recognized figure in the sporting world today, minus Jordan. So, yeah, sorry Pacman, you got KTFO on this one!

Read post #41. Should see the difference with Pac and Tiger in a little bit of that paragraph.

Like I said not many countries outside of Europe and U.S. give a **** ass about Golf or Tiger Woods. The guy has been a celebrity for a long time sure but that doesn't mean that people who don't care or put much stock or prestige into golfers believe hes influential. Just saying that on a global scale, Golf pales in comparison to Boxing's popularity. Therefore it's a given that more people know and care more about Manny Pacquiao than Tiger Woods.

This little tidbit actually clued me in as to what I'm dealing with here. Are you seriously - SERIOUSLY - trying to tell me you believe Manny is a bigger celebrity, star, etc. than Tiger Woods. Yes, on a GLOBAL scale? Wow, just WOW! Tiger Woods has been DOMINATING the game of golf on a professional level for 13 years! Almost $110,000,000 JUST in actual tournament winnings where, in most cases, the 1st place prize is at or near $1Million. You take his marketability, which, lmao come on now, is WAY higher than Manny. You have a single handed change in the way the game is played and, more importantly, WHO plays the game because of that man. Tiger Woods has redefined a sport.

Now, you tell me how in the jumpin Jesus Christ, Manny can deal with that. And don't give me this south american, asion, etc. bull****. You start spitting off some comebacks as to what I post on this matter or troll along somewhere else.

Manny: Well, he sure has had a great past few fights. Gimme a break man LMAO.

You must be a serious fan of golf, cause I seriously don't give a **** how much money Tiger makes. Manny Pac is the face of Boxing right now. As far as I'm concerned more people worldwide watch boxing than golf. Therefore more people care about Manny than Tiger. Influence isn't about money all the time. It comes down to how relevant you are. As of right now Manny Pac is relevant to more people than Tiger Woods simply because Boxing is more relevant than Golf. Period. Nothing more to it. Outside of the wealthy not many people care about golf. Both poor and rich care about boxing. It really is that simple.
