Who cares? Was that Ramirez’s fault? The shot that landed had Espinoza out on his feet. Was that an accident? Kudos to Divino — for the umpteenth time — but that fight might've easily been over in round five if not for the bell.

I didn’t mean to imply the man has no chin. In fact, Espinoza took quite a few flush shots last night — part of the reason why, despite the much higher volume from him, I still had the fight close going into the twelfth. Robeisy is a respectable puncher, but he’s no KO artist.

Ramirez had faster hands and was looking for one shot. The power difference was big. Robeisy ate like 800 shots and was never wobbled or hurt. He took a knee in the 12th because he was obviously exhausted and overwhelmed by Espinoza's activity.

You don't have to be taller with a longer reach to attack inside and get in and get out. Robeisy had his way for 5, 6, 7 when Espinoza was hurt. But he still kept head hunting, trying to prove he could stop the guy with one big shot. Espinoza was coming forward and throwing, and Ramirez apparently just could not allow himself to stop trading and start to move and box.

I watched the fight again. Espinoza is all heart. But he will get Fundora'd by any guy with power who moves and doesn't just stand right in front of him. Like Fundora, Espinoza has the physical advantages, but his chin is not great. Like Fundora, he will get caught and KO'd badly sooner than later.

Like I said, I will wait for the rematch to really form an opinion on Espinoza. Ramirez was not ready, underestimated him and in a rematch, with a few adjustments, I think Ramirez stops him. We will see.

I agree Espinoza power, volume and all around skill is a tough task for anyone at FW. His punch placement was superb to both body and head.

I don't think he needs a ko, a couple of knockdown would work too, 30 seconds in that 5th rounds and it could have been over

Again though that KD must be put into perspective. Espinoza was boxing Ramirez ears off for 4 and a half rds got over confident started switching stance got caught mid switch and payed for it. I doubt Ramirez would get another chance like that as long as Espinoza stays disciplined.

Now as an undefeated world champion, his confidence is going to be through the roof, making his style an even bigger task to have to deal with. Tough out for anyone for sure
