what was he supposed to learn from this even in a win ? Why would he ever need to know how to fight a guy this size in the pro ranks ?
In a shoe box 16/16 ft ring at that.

Espinoza is a size freakazoid for his weight class, he could of made this fight so much easier for himself if he fought tall and used the jab to keep Ramirez at arms length.

Hopefully he gets trainers that are better able to utilize his frame and height.

I mean as opposed to standing in the pocket and eating every shot Espinoza threw?

Ramirez had faster hands and was looking for one shot. The power difference was big. Robeisy ate like 800 shots and was never wobbled or hurt. He took a knee in the 12th because he was obviously exhausted and overwhelmed by Espinoza's activity.

You don't have to be taller with a longer reach to attack inside and get in and get out. Robeisy had his way for 5, 6, 7 when Espinoza was hurt. But he still kept head hunting, trying to prove he could stop the guy with one big shot. Espinoza was coming forward and throwing, and Ramirez apparently just could not allow himself to stop trading and start to move and box.

I watched the fight again. Espinoza is all heart. But he will get Fundora'd by any guy with power who moves and doesn't just stand right in front of him. Like Fundora, Espinoza has the physical advantages, but his chin is not great. Like Fundora, he will get caught and KO'd badly sooner than later.

Like I said, I will wait for the rematch to really form an opinion on Espinoza. Ramirez was not ready, underestimated him and in a rematch, with a few adjustments, I think Ramirez stops him. We will see.

I think TR probably said "hey if Espinoza wins it we have another mexican champ" never hurts and an obvious bigger draw if he turns out to be the real deal.

This makes a ton of sense. Maybe not much was invested in Ramirez.

Shoe box rings should be more common place they make for good action.

Would suck for all boxers who like to incorporate lots of movement, but could you imagine the types of wars we would have?

Good take, man. Robeisy has decent power, but he’s no power puncher. The fact he put Espinoza on ***** Street like that says something. Divino won that fight just as much on heart as on skills. I’d love to see a rematch. Does Ramirez win? I don’t know, but I’m sure both men will lay it on the line again.

Are you ignoring the fact that the shot landed when Espinoza was playing around switching stances? Other than that Ramirez couldnt put him down .

Who cares? Was that Ramirez’s fault? The shot that landed had Espinoza out on his feet. Was that an accident? Kudos to Divino — for the umpteenth time — but that fight might've easily been over in round five if not for the bell.

Nooo but you tried to make it seem like Espinoza had no chin got hit and went down but there was circumstances leading to the KD which played a roll.
