What was the first thing that Eddie Hearn said upon reaching these shores after launching DAZN?

He said he simply wanted to put the PBC out of business by stealing all of Al Haymon’s American fighters in his stable.

In my honest opinion, for PBC to find long term success on Amazon Prime, they must do away with all the sanctioning belts. There should simply be ONE PBC champion for each weight division.

This sounds awful to many fans I'd assume & idk that I'd love it myself, but honestly the belt groups running things now are more corrupt than a power broker of boxing would be to their own boxers I'd imagine so EVERY major player (Al, Bob & Eddie) doing this would be better than the status corrupt quo we got with the 4 belt groups in many ways. Probably less ability to unify belts tho obv.

With the exception of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, PBC has all the most lucrative fighters in the sport. Majority of fighters want to get in the ring with the big names to make the big money. PBC can take advantage of that. Its no different than the UFC with mma. PBC would become the major league of the sport and everyone else minor league. It would bring integrity back to the sport and become much more popular with casual fans when there is only one recognizable champion per weight class. Its my understanding that was the original model when PBC first launched. Haymon needs to go in that direction and make it happen. In doing so, PBC will have a long term home with Amazon.

Making exclusive deals with promoters has just led to mostly in-house fights.

It would be better to offer money to put on good fights and let the promoters compete and/or collaborate with each other if they want that money. Like how Turki Alalshikh has been doing.

The issue is you either need ALL THE $$$ like Turki or its impossible to do when everyone isn't playing the same game. And this Turki sh^t isn't sustainable long term lets not bs ourselves. And once Turki ain't playing this game & is playing the same game as the other promoters with worrying about profit & losses he'll be signing boxers to long term deals &/or signing promoters to long term deals for content & not throwing out money like a rapper at the strip club.

IF everyone was playing the highest bidder wins the fight & then everyone is free agent after & highest bidder wins the next fight it'd be a superior way to make the best fights now & for fans, but getting everyone playing that game is the issue cuz once you take out a segment of boxers under a platform out of play it waters things down quick.

But I agree, all the networks and streaming services should adopt the model of not signing promoters to exclusive deals. Then boxing would really benefit. Maybe the Ali Act could be revised to include a prohibition on promoters doing that, as it is a form of a monopoly? Or perhaps a maximum time limit can be put on boxer contracts…like you can only lock them in for 3 fights at a time or something?

And the Fulton/Inoue, what about it? There are zero issues when it comes to boxers, MMA fighters, wrestlers all over the world wanting to fight in Tokyo. None. Have you forgotten the Golovkin/Murata fight? Golovkin didn't even have to consult with DAZN/Hearn.
