But I agree, all the networks and streaming services should adopt the model of not signing promoters to exclusive deals. Then boxing would really benefit. Maybe the Ali Act could be revised to include a prohibition on promoters doing that, as it is a form of a monopoly?Or perhaps a maximum time limit can be put on boxer contracts…like you can only lock them in for 3 fights at a time or something?
If you wanna light money on fire for the big fights a lot of ppl could do it not just Turki. I wouldn't suggest otherwise. Most ppl are running a business not sport washing for their country for PR purposes. And as I said that will end. Maybe it'll end in a year or maybe it'll end in 10yrs, but it'll end & they'll either be out of boxing or start operating like a business too.

Either the fights happen or Haymon will get a pick slip again. He is safe with Canelo on the roster at least 2 more fights which I believe Canelo will extend bc of Amazon's global reach. But Haymon will have to fill those other 4-5 PPV slots with real fights.

No one asked for Davis vs Cruz 2

Lara vs Garcia is not PPV

If Crawford stays beyond Spence, Crawford vs Tim is PPV at 154. That's a ****er.

If you make Thurman PPV, Benn has to come over. No one knows Ennis.

Wilder, Spence and Davis are his only attractions and they need a heavy hitter coming over for them to do numbers.

Lara vs Danny Garcia is should only be one of the supporting bouts on a PPV undercard.

If that is planned to be a main event then it better be included as part of the Amazon Prime subscription, with no extra PPV fee.

Right on! You know it! It's such a shame that so many alleged boxing fans wanted to see the PBC fail. They have the best talent roster of fighters in the world.

I'm waiting on you to tell me 2 cross-promotions better than Tank vs. Garcia, or Inoue vs. Fulton, in 2023. You're bringing up GGG vs. Murata from April 2022, and that's nowhere near as good as either fight! Fulton asked for Al's blessing, AND HE GOT IT TOO! That goes back to the point, that PBC does cross-promotions, and Eddie should know better, since Ruiz ruined Joshua's U.S. debut at MSG!

I think it stemmed from there. Eddie Hearn is very transparent, if you’re his fighter he’s your best mate. As soon as you’re not, it’s thinly veiled negativity.
Eddie is garbage. He still hasn’t paid my buddies fighter from months ago. Matchroom is going broke.

One can in fact be a "boxing fan" and still feel that the PBC model is harmful to the overall sport. Those 2 things are not mutually exclusive. If PBC folded tomorrow, its not like those fighters would just retire or something, they would just go to other platforms.

GGG is an international star and Fulton is a nobody in comparison. Saying Fulton's fight was bigger is beyond fanboyism. And GGG didn't have to ask for Hearn's blessings to fight in Japan while your hero had to sit down with your uncle so he can say, "Thank you Al Haymon!" You're like a little kid always bragging about his new toy comparing it with others not knowing it's a knockoff.

Inoue is a bigger international star than GGG, and Murata is a nobody in comparison! Fulton came to the fight with 2 belts, so the fight meant more! Fulton did have to ask Al, AND AL SAID YES! That's the point of this thread dumb azz! Hearn is trying to say PBC doesn't work with others, and I've just shown your dumb azz that they made 2 BIG cross promotions, one with GBP, and one with TR! Now tell me who has done it bigger than those fights?

The point is you always make it a huge deal as if your uncle and Fulton were giving everyone favors. It's a fight in Japan. Nothing to do at all with crossing the street crap. Arum wasn't even involved. Fighters all over the world, thai boxers, UFC/MMA fighters, karate fighters, wrestlers, you name it, accept offers from that country in a heartbeat without consulting their with their uncles. They talk to their own families, instead.
Japanese stars are big in Japan. The rest of the world could care less about them, let alone the sport of boxing. The GGG fight was bigger. It's big in Europe and Asia. Fulton fight wasn't even big in the US. The time difference alone don't favor you. So stop lying about which one did well.

Anyways, if that's how you saw it, can't do anything about it. Peace brotha.
