    I hate Ranallo.

Hopefully, Amazon hire neutral people who will just call the fight, not partisan pole smokers that call out nusy the star doing well.

Accept the fact Haymon is successful and people want to work with PBC.
Successful? I can't believe the truth is seen as criticism. Al is scrambling right now. I'm not a critic of him or pbc.But I'm not a fanboi for any promoter or promotion as so many here seem to be. The fact is they are getting No upfront money. And only 12 to 14 dates. Pbc is less than it was and has taken a serious hit. Cheerleading won't change that.

To each, his own! I want the whole team back, plus Max!

If they were unsuccessful they wouldn’t have gotten any deal.

Can I ask how you know Al is scrambling? I am sure SHO leaving boxing is a difficult adjustment.

No, they didn’t get a massive deal like they got with SHO. I think that reflects boxing’s decline in the sports landscape.

You didn’t name any fights specifically. Come on dude, support your argument with something concrete.

What evidence do you have the ww fights would have produced ratings?

Below, Ring in 2019 discussed the strong ratings boxing was getting on Fox. This was without the fights you allude to, pre pandemic.

Wait, if they do the same thing as they did with Fox in 2019, why would it be mediocre given the above?
The mediocre way PBC operates has been the same on ANY network they have been on. Including NBC and FOX. That’s the point.

They botched the way they handled their welterweight stable and had no big payoff until this year if you’re honest. And that was only because Crawford came over. How long did they have Andy Ruiz and Deontay Wilder on the same side of the street? That fight hasn’t been delivered to this day.

The one small glimmer of hope is that Showtime finally had a great year in 2023 in terms of putting on big fights…and of course it was also the year they got out of the sport. If PBC were to carry that 2023 model over to Amazon Prime then we have something to look forward to. But if this was just a one-off to try to attract a new home and they go right back to the way they’ve always done business? If we get Canelo vs Jermall next instead of against Benavidez? Then it will just be more of the same disappointment for fans.

Get rid of Ranallo. Add in Lampley and Max. Bring Paulie Malignaggi back.

Can't fux with Lampley! I like Ranallo's energy, especially paired with Bernstein!

It’s not throwing shade to point out the facts. Unless they do things differently the Amazon Prime deal is going to go the exact same way.
Those deals lasted years. When a new TV show lasts for years they call it a success.

                    PBC should hire him.
