Canelo should demand 15 rounders be restored

To those supporting Amanda Serrano's demand for changing the rules for championship fights to suit her preference, perhaps Canelo as the biggest name in the men's game should demand the restoration of 15 rounders.

There would be zero controversy if he was down on the cards after 12 and then knocked Benavidez in the 13th. Zero controversy.

Canelo gases out during 12 rounders. What do you think would happen if he fought 15?

A 15 round fight would greatly benefit Benavidez against Canelo.

A guy with obvious stamina issues should demand more rounds? Think that through.

Boxing as a sport is fought in 3 minute rounds. Has been since the inception of modern boxing with formal rules. That's why women's boxing really isn't boxing. Boxing fans like to see finishes, and having an additional minute to work on someone who's hurt makes finishes way more likely. You hurt someone at 2 minutes of a 3 minute fight and you've got a way better chance of getting the finish then and there because they've got to survive for a full minute. In 2 minute rounds, they get to sit and rest immediately. It's not rocket science here. It's like insisting that women fight with head gear on, and then complaining that it looks like sparring.

Don't be a bigot. Having women's fights be more exciting and draw more eyes is good for the sport, not bad.

Seems like you attempted to shore up a weak argument from precedent by using the word bigot.
