Nope. Watch the Nakathila fight and watch his last fight. He fought completely different but people just run with narratives. He barely threw the left hand in his last fight despite clear openings for it. He would disengage too far out of range to initiate any offense. Versus Nakathila, he stayed in range to counter and let his left hand go.

Also, Edwin didn't do himself any favors. He would just explode for offense, but did not apply constant front foot pressure until the last 2 rounds or so and that is when Shakur landed his best shots. Not sure if Edwin is not comfortable initiating constant front foot pressure but when he was not exploding in short bursts, he was disengaging as much as Shakur.

A terrible fight all around. There styles just don't mesh well.

I heard that when Shakur went to enforce the mandatory, Haney decided to move up to 140.

Yeah he ducked and than try to to shortcut shakur and claimed shakur ducked the haneys got their day coming and I can't wait to witness it

He beats both of them. Every young fighter has a bad performance. Don't give me "he does this every fight!" because his other fights have been landslides regardless if you don't like this style. In fact, it would have been in their favor if he had this performance vs them vs going to the drawing board now and matching his work rate to his talent.

Im not so sure he beats them but that last performance of his doesn't mean anything Shakur has the talent to compete with anyone around his weight, its not like he got beat up or even hit solid he just didn't engage in a firefight to get a stoppage, people are riding him too hard on that fight.

Shakur and Haney are already exposed. One by Edwin, the other by Loma. Davis got exposed by flat footed Pitbull.

Devin Haney’s hugging volume would be too much for Shakur. Shakur throws 1-3 hugs per round, Devin throws about 10-15. And the difference is even bigger for power hugs. The numbers don’t lie.
